Hello world, I raise plants that eat things, a few pretty bugs, a cranky frog, small dogs, and people. There’s a happy ending to, because the robbery was unsuccessful, the couple ended up getting the money Eden needed from a movie inspired by em! Also John only had to serve part of his sentence. Check out their wedding photos btw they’re beautiful.

I saw a lovely sentiment about the reason for the season being a virgin birth. It isn't for me. It's the long, dark night. That night covered many religions, many cultures, world wide. When you grow your grain, winter is death. Some cultures had their elders walk into the long dark night, as an act of love. It meant more food was in the grain stores, for the children who had their life ahead of them, a personal sacrifice for the future of those who have not lived yet. It's why Christians didn't steal this from the pagans. This long, dark night, and the survival of it, that was hope for all religions, all cultures, the world wide. It's why it's a time for hope. The light gets longer. The sun has been reborn. Yes, Christians. Have it. It is yours. It is mine. It is ours, the world over. We lived. We all did. It is our victory, world wide.

This boy is Hoplitalysia slossonae, a Braconid wasp species where the males have these bizarre orb-y wing structures. I've seen lots of wild things this year, and this is quite unique! ❤️

Most people have no idea what galls are so just to bring everyone up to speed, very tiny organisms including certain wasps, mites, aphids and more can trigger the tissues of a plant to grow these as the animal's ideal home or incubation chamber, including specialized layers of modified plant tissue to protect and nourish the inhabitants. They're literally custom mutated plant cells, like an elaborate tumor programmed by the insect biochemically.

Anadenobolus monilicornis is a smallish spirobolidan millipede native to the Caribbean. her bright warning coloration is an indicator that a predator who tried to eat her would get a mouthful of noxious fluid containing benzoquinones.
while most A. monilicornis have pinkish legs and antennae, I regularly find a few in introduced populations in Florida with black appendages like this one. cute little things

Julius the jellyfish is feeling jaunty. He scrabbles around for his shiny top hat, balances it on his dome tilted at a rakish angle. Weaves his tentacles into a braid. Powders his nose with sea salt and ground shell. Fluffs out his bell and winks at all the ladies.

It's odd how much peace I've gained in my life from my family kicking me out when I was 19 over religion. Peace from what I learned by carrying everything I owned on my back for a year and a half. How I learned I could stick to my ideals, have the worst thing happen, and be just fine, eventually
