I have a slew of mental illness and am physically disabled so if you commission me, please keep that in mind, as that can affect the turnover time.

Butch lesbians, build things for your community.

You can build wheelchair ramps with a small group of you and your friends.

You can build book boxes for neighborhoods.

You can build furniture and donate it or sell it for a lower price for people who cannot afford furniture.

And actually, this isn't just for my butches. All of yall need to take advantage of your skills and use them to help your community.

Its time we all come to terms with the fact that the government, at any level, will never help us in the ways we need. So, its time we start taking care of eachother, at the local levels. Taking care of your community does a lot more than you may think it will. Theres so many ways, everyone can do it, all skills are valuable and useful.

Dont wait for someone else to do it for you, go outside and do it.

Also you can stain wooden builds with colorful stains. Like imagine a pink wheelchair ramp?? Building things for eachother means you can add a little bit more joy and whimsy into the world.

Where I grew up, people who needed a ramp could sign up to receive one for free or low cost. Their info would be passed on to a group of handy volunteers who had been educated in safe ramp construction (and also handled any permits if needed). The only cost was in materials, and fundraising covered anyone who couldn’t pay some or all of the costs. It’s worth looking into if there are any existing programs to tap into their resources and experience

If you are building a ramp, please please please (please) make sure you are educated on what is safe. A number of ramps built by this program were to replace badly built and straight up dangerous ramps (and required extra labor to demolish the old ramp). Maximum slope and size, weight, and traction are all vital to make sure that nobody gets hurt (and then definitely stain things fun colors)
