What if i said Nor thinking his bad actions are right, not only justified but justice makes him a better person then Teylan who knew his actions were wrong and continued doing so because it made him feel special?

like i love them both but i personally think doing something wrong because you are deluded by your own pain into thinking it was right and justice is less bad then fully knowing what your doing is wrong the entire time and continuing anyway because it makes you feel good.

there’s also the fact Teylan betrayed the resistance and Sarentu by working with one of their abusers and colonizers while Nor betrayed the resistance and Sarentu by killing on of their abusers and colonizers.

theres a lot more complexities and nuances to these situations and all, i’d just rather someone be deluded while committing harmful actions then fully aware of how harmful they are.

I want to add to this and say that Nor only killed Alma, so he betrayed and killed their abuser. The others are visibly killed off BEFORE Nor sabotages the door, not after.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, your take is beautiful and flawless and I owe you money for it, I just felt like I had to say it before someone inevitably took to your comments with "w- well Nor knowingly got x or y killed!!!"

He did not. We don't know what Nor would have done if a different human ran to the door. We never WILL know. Every idea on it is speculation.

Something about my guy Duke Thomas is that he's not afraid to face his fears head on. See how he doesn't cower from Joker? He even steps up to him, stares into his eyes and doesn't back down for a single moment.

This doesn't mean that Duke isn't (rightfully) emotional about seeing his tormentor. He lunges at the Joker the moment his parents are mentioned, ready to hurt the man who destroyed his family - and WFA thinks he would cower for a school bully, ffs it's Duke, he'd kick their ass - and he needs Green Lantern to hold him back. My guy is so badass, an actual Lantern struggles to hold him back. Duke is not only brave as hell but strong and powerful too.

Also, he has no problem confronting Bruce, Joker, or anyone, as we can see here. So, to those who push the "passive Duke" narrative, just stop.

WFA treats Duke like he's an OC that they can insert whenever one of the fan favorites doesn't fit the story they have in mind. Which is still heartbreaking to me, because the webcomic was marketed as Duke centric. Look at how that turned out.
