Act I
A poem I wrote about a year ago.
Although, it can destroy the inner me; my heart is heavy for a radical change of the exterior. And though the urge is like the blazing, demanding sun beating down on the raw garden of the delirious lust in the head, an elaborate travel to the shadow self. It goes about in the corners, the it that pounds in the core of you; the largeness of its center fills you whole from sole to soul, a quiet abduction hovering about at the foot of your duvet, chanting away at the restless sleep while insides churning, spine turning to an ache amplified by fear of death from pounding want.
September 2016 mood board
I wrote a song in my bedroom, headphones will do it justice
idling in between happiness and sadness isn’t so bad
: it sounds like something in between hope and heartbreak
: yeah, you kind of get lost in the noise, but it swells so you're not really lost, just floating along
sometimes, you need to take something with you and put it close to you to remind you that there was a moment where you stopped to smell the flowers
friends & almost lovers
My heart is like a flower; each time it pangs it’s like a petal being ripped from the center; screaming and wailing away. Roadkill like a beautiful brown fox in the road. The dam is overflowing at the Cypress Spillway, it’s up to the foot of the bridge. There’s water where there shouldn’t be water, but the rains have passed and the yard is blooming with beautiful white flowers which I’m not sure the name of is. My clothes smell like crawfish. The wasps are active on my balcony and the breeze is cooling the almost ready for summer sun. The chickens and ducks are squawking away in their pen, and I hear a large truck on the road.
The trees along our driveway have grown very tall. A bit big for a tree, it goes around to see, to wrap its arms around me.
