Is it okay if I don't like shows like Naruto, One Piece, Demon Slayer, DanDaDan, and My Hero Academia? This is a stupid reason and I've gotten upset at myself for this, but it's because I'm sensitive to violence. Part of my autism is that violence literally makes me act up and get upset, so I can't watch those series. Tokyo Mew Mew is one of the only things with violence I can think of that I can handle because of how calm it makes me feel and the sparkles and cute weapons and romance and such

of course that’s okay! you like what you like!! in my opinion, there is no reason for you to be upset with yourself over that—you should embrace what you enjoy with open arms and just let yourself enjoy it to the fullest!! tokyo mew mew is a fantastic series, and if that’s the only media in the world that you like or want to consume (which i know you’re just mentioning shonen anime in your examples, but still), that is your prerogative and not a soul on earth should make you feel bad about that, including yourself. 💖

if you are looking for any other series to try, i recommend looking into other magical girl or shoujo ones!! personally, aside from nostalgia, i’m not big on a lot of shonen series myself—i just can’t get into them—but shoujo is where it’s at for me and my preferences!! but you know what? even if tokyo mew mew is the only one you enjoy, that’s perfectly fine. nothing is made to be enjoyed by everyone.

so watch what you like, read what you like, eat what you like, etc! you are here for yourself and no one else. please be kind to yourself :) 💖💖💖

i love drawing “traditional” art, but as much as i love posting vids about it and my process, i cannot stand the focus on my hands. it is grating, because yes, they look different than yours,

but no, you do not have to point it out or ask me what happened when it doesn’t affect you beyond a visual. i don’t mind explaining, but oh my GOD, when i get more comments about it than my art,

it makes me feel like nothing i draw could possibly take away from peoples’ perception of me as different. nothing will ever be good enough to help me blend in.
