Has anyone tried using banking soda as deodorant? Do your pits start getting irritated, swelling or even get pustules?

I figured out if you put some petroleum jelly on your pits first and a very small amount of baking soda paste (like not even half of a dime amount) it might avoid the irritation. Also, washing with a body soap that has zinc can help (plus helps with acne)
