I've recommended this one before, but for all the non-human vertebrate likers out there... the art of animal drawing
Kinda feel like there's some untapped meme/reaction image potential from old horror movie trailers...
Since this is gaining traction again, here are the final ones. These had been on separate posts but I suppose they'll be more likely to be noticed here.
I doubt I'll post any more after this but I highly encourage others to go find more. YouTube has tons of old movie trailers and there is PLENTY of gold left to find.
Fetishizing nyc the same way people do japan
See this little tab? This is new York engineering at play. It keeps you from spilling hot drinks on yourself, meaning you can pull the tab open when you're ready to drink your cawf-ee (coffee). New York is living in 2050.
This is what New Yorkers are already doing
New Yorkers be like: "See this? This is a super cool thing we have in New York called a bodega. It may look like a regular corner store deli you see in literally every town in every country on the planet, but it's actually completely different because here they sell both cold food AND hot food AND they're ethnic.
Isn't that amazing?
No no, you don't understand, you've NEVER seen a store like this before.
How to make jianzhan建盏 by shanbai山白
Jian Zhan (建盏), or "Jian Tea Bowl," is a unique type of ancient Chinese ceramic from the Song Dynasty (10th–13th century). Famous for its glossy black glaze and "oil spot" or "hare’s fur" patterns, it was prized for enhancing tea flavors. Fired at extreme temperatures in Fujian’s kilns, these bowls reflect China’s tea culture zenith.
listen. in this fantasy realm you’ve been isekai’d into, our elemental system corresponds roughly to the major seinfeld characters and their traits. this is entirely coincidental and shouldn’t distract you from the fact that you’re about to be killed by Kramer Orcs
Re:Zero but everytime you die, you respawn bursting through the apartment door.
what if instead of Santa Claus having a sack of presents he slid down the chimney and gave a graphic birth under the christmas tree and you wake up to find an iPad covered in Juices but still functional
What if Santa Claus left milk and cookies and the milk was from his overfilled teats and the cookies are just oreos
Ralph it's JULY
the reason you, a white american, believe that white americans don't have culture is the same reason fish don't believe in water
yes i know you think it's an antiracist statement, that you're saying it's a bad thing white americans don't have culture. but what you're actually saying is that the way white americans live is simply the normal way to live and that "culture" refers only to deviations from that norm
there's real holidays and then there's, you know, cultural holidays. there's regular foods and there's ethnic foods
this is not (just) about "cultural christianity," an idea that gestures at a real thing but the way tumblr talks about it is mostly not useful, i'm talking about stuff much broader than that.
making yourself a ham sandwich with mayo on white bread is a cultural practice just as much as making jollof rice is a cultural practice.
if you feel some kind of yearning as a white american to connect with your Ancestral Culture you can get really into wearing lederhosen or playing bagpipes or whatever. but you could also just learn to understand the way you are living right now as a culture and not some kind of neutral default absence of culture
sick post i just found online. sorry i couldnt find the source
if this gets more notes than the memedaddy repost it would be really funny actually

Southern Comfort (2001)
A beautiful scene featuring transgender man Robert Eades and his transgender girlfriend Lola.
[TRANSCRIPT:
Robert: – and now she’s coming out, full blown… she is something else.
Lola: Oh, please, stop it.
Robert: What? I’m just telling her how wonderful you are, and how beautiful, and how organised, and…
Lola: Actually, you know, I really should put all of this on tape, you know? For when I’m not feeling so great.
Robert: Sweetheart, it is on tape.
[BOTH LAUGH]
Robert: Just in the last couple of months now, it’s come on real strong, but she just really blushes! I can get her to blush all the way from head to toe. See? And she can’t deal with it! She’s never blushed like that before!
Lola: [SIGHS]
[BOTH LAUGH]
Robert: All my life, I’ve been looking for the perfect woman… and all this time, she’s been right there in front of me, and I didn’t even realise it, ‘cause I never thought I’d have a chance with her.
Lola: Why? You’re like… completely loveable.
Robert: To be loved by you, that’s… that’s…
Lola: I had no notion, to think that we would have this little fling.
Robert: That’s what I feel - we have this nice friendship, we can’t go out, we have fun together, we got no entanglements and stuff and then - bam! Just… all of a sudden, next thing I know, we’re in love with each other and we can’t stop it.
