Thanks to everyone who made getting older a little less painful yesterday.
I hit a personal best today. 48 years of being alive, even with the speed bump in November. Here’s to another year of adulting.
Animal menagerie.
Well, there’s good news and bad news. The good news they were able to determine that I did have a mild heart attack, but I’m okay. However, I am most likely looking at open heart surgery tomorrow. The catheter lab showed severe blockages. I am scared right now. I know I should do the surgery, but I am afraid. Please pray that odd I do the surgery, that everything will go as it’s supposed to go. Pray for my loved ones..
It has not been a good time around here. Our youngest is still trending in the right direction medically, but even as we were able to get her home from the hospital, she ended up losing her kitty, Milo or “Ryan Gosling” while she was in-patient. She raised him from birth, and he was my little “brother” after his mother, Goose, “adopted” me. So, if you’re willing, please say a prayer or send some good thoughts her way for her broken heart and mental well-being. She and the family have been through a lot in the last couple of months. Even her brother missed her, and he’s the quiet one of the three siblings. Thanks for all the prayers for her while she was in the hospital.
Happy Birthday to all of my Marine Corps family, past and present. Semper Fidelis, Marines!
Thank you to everyone who felt guilty enough to wish me a Happy Birthday. Once again, you made getting older a little bit more bearable. However, my son tried to make me older than I am by a year. I let him live, and I didn’t hurt him, so I must be getting old.
I figured that it would eventually happen to me, especially since I do more clerical work these days, but I am starting to develop carpal tunnel syndrome. I have to wear and sleep with a wrist brace for the foreseeable future. This getting old business is for the birds.
Merry Christmas, you hosers!
Greetings and salutations to all of my Marine Corps Brothers and Sisters:
As I will most likely be passed into blissful unconsciousness at the stroke of Midnight, I want to wish most of you a sincere and heartfelt Happy Birthday. This year has seen the casing of the colors of the squadron that I spent most of my career at, and closer to the inevitable retirement of my beloved Hornets in the years to come. Thus, as with all things, nothing last forever, except in our hearts, memories, and the history books. Yet, I will continue to be proud that I played a small role in the overall history of our beloved Corps. Through the good times and the bad, and the early days of Hell on Earth (aka bootcamp), I don't regret one day of it. Thank you to each and every one of you who had the misfortune to cross paths with me at one point or another. You have made the journey more palatable to endure. Here's to 248 years and many more to come. Semper Fidelis.
Happy 248th Birthday to all of the Soldiers among my friends and family. You know who you are.
Now hear this:
Once again, thank you to everyone who took the time to wish me a Happy Birthday. You are responsible for making aging a little less stressful and somewhat enjoyable. Thank you to most of my family, friends, fiends, malcontents, miscreants, rogues, renegades, and rapscallions. You all truly make life worth living.
That is all.
