imagine being beaten by ur 2 minute year old brother. sounds embarrassing ngl...

in all seriousness, I always find the myth a little funny and interesting! I mean Huitzilopochtli, was born fully armed and armored and defended his mom, Coatlicue on Coatepec Mountain, and immediately fought his sister, Coyolxauhqui, beheaded her and turn her into the moon and his remaining 400 brothers, the Centzon Huitznahuac, fled or killed became the stars.

It's kinda metal for a moon and sun origin story ngl.... it also connects towards a belief in that blood has to be serves via human sacrifices to Huitzilopochtli in order for him to continue his endless battle with Coyolxauhqui in the sky. which represent his the day and night cycle. While I'm pretty sure, it's more of a metaphor that the aztec believes rather then something literal, it's still interesting!

also I think I'm quite fond of drawing Coyolxauhqui even if her desgin hurts my hand </3

so yeah expect more like aztec posting from me...
