The Mystery Figure // “A View of the Ocean (2017 Remastered)” // PERADVENTURE (Deluxe Version)
This is the second time I’ve attempted to fix this song, and I think it’s much better than the original. When I first tried recording these songs, I was so limited on time, and I had no idea what I was doing when I was recording. I simply sat down, played the piano part that I had composed, and added instruments on top of that - without using a metronome to keep a steady beat or changing many of the settings to manipulate the sound. I just tried to do what I could as quickly as possible.
That’s why when you hear the original version of the songs, you switch from a moderately loud song to a song that needs the entire volume turned up to hear it well, to soft again.
Now that I have a lot more time to fix things, I’m finally getting the sound I want - and I’m fixing the things I didn’t get a chance to fix before. It still sounds bad, the mistakes are still there, but it at least isn’t as horrible as it was before.
Feel free to check out the song on SoundCloud. Like, share, download. Reblog this post. Have a Happy Halloween, everybody.
The Mystery Figure // “A Penguin’s Tale (Extended Version)” // PERADVENTURE (Deluxe Version)
When I initially recorded PERADVENTURE, I planned for a lot of multiple projects to represent the whole entire thing. Unfortunately, I had very little resources and not enough time to do all of them. One of those projects was releasing a “deluxe” version of the album, which featured different versions of my songs along with demos of the music I had made. Now that I have a lot more time on my hands and some more resources (although not enough) to work with, I decided to revisit my old songs and see what I could do with them.
This is a remake of the single version of “A Penguin’s Tale”, originally released as a promotional single for PERADVENTURE through SoundCloud and, later, YouTube. I hope to release the entire deluxe version of the album before I release AQLTITD.
For now, I hope you enjoy this version of the song - because it’s definitely the best version of it yet.

The Mystery Figure // “Prelude to a Dream” // A Quieter Light to Illuminate the Dark
The sixth track from my second self-released music project is called “Prelude to a Dream”. It is intended to be the prologue to both “Happy Dreams” and “A Penguin’s Tale”, featured in my first self-released project, PERADVENTURE. I used the melodies from both songs in this one to create one big masterpiece.
I mentioned before that “Happy Dreams” and “A Penguin’s Tale” were originally going to be part of three songs - but the third one was never made. That’s where the prelude here comes in. Instead of creating a third part (which would probably not make any sense), I decided to introduce these two songs with a “prelude”. I came up with this song a while back, and I really like the effect I used on my digital piano; it reminds me of those old songs with a long, electric guitar introduction that slowly becomes this grand masterpiece. Although I’m not a that high level of composition, I do believe this is a smaller masterpiece on its own, as well as with the tracks it introduces.
You can listen to this track on YouTube. I am still recording demos, so I probably won’t have an upload for the song on SoundCloud yet. I hope you enjoy the video - and make sure you like the video if you do.

It’s been a while since I updated the page to reflect the new album, and I’ve finally done it. So much has happened in between the time that I released the first album and now that I figured I should provide some kind of updates as to what’s been going on and what’s going to happen next:
PERADVENTURE IS OUT. If you haven’t downloaded the album yet, you can click this link here to listen to it and download it. It is hosted on Google Drive. You can also hear the album on my YouTube page here, or on my SoundCloud here as well.
I’ve been working on A Quieter Light to Illuminate the Dark, the follow-up to PERADVENTURE. It continues the story of the first album, and it will fill in some of the gaps from the first part. I have all 10 songs composed, and have already released some demos along with some “music videos” (they’re just me performing the songs) on YouTube. Go check them out here.
I don’t have an official release date for the new album. I have decided that I am going to record demos first, and then go from there. When I first recorded PERADVENTURE, I recorded everything within a week, and tried to plan a lot of things to go along with the album that were never made. I don’t want to make the same mistake as last time, so I’m going to focus on my music this time around.
I do not plan on releasing the final album this year - which is unfortunate because I would have liked to have released it before the end of the year. As I mentioned, I would like to focus on making my music sound a lot better - PERADVENTURE was production gone wrong. Because I am working on all this music alone, it will take me longer than I might plan to get things done. I also do not have my own studio - all of my music is recorded and mixed on GarageBand as I do not have any other way of making music besides recording my songs on an old smartphone that’s close to death.
I also have the next three releases (total of 5 including PERADVENTURE & AQLTITD) planned, but not fully composed.
Here are the planned titles:
- R7
- Someday I’ll Find My Way Back Home (previously titled Someday I’ll Find My Way Home)
- Tremolo
I also would like to fix the errors I made in PERADVENTURE and re-release the album so that it’s at the quality I wanted it to be. This won’t be until much later in the future - so don’t expect it any time soon.
I also have snippets of all the songs on AQLTITD on my Instagram account! I am on private at the moment, but go ahead and request a follow (and let me know who you are so I don’t deny you), and I’ll approve it. I am on private because I get followed by a LOT of spam accounts as well as musicians/producers/artists who think that I’m also a musician/producer/artist signed to a label and are looking for exposure. Although I wish I could be at that level, music is only a hobby at the end of the day. It is something I do for fun, and I wouldn’t want to make it a job. Besides, why would I want people to pay for music that hasn’t had any money put into it?
These have been long updates, so I will end the post here. Follow me (handle: intrpidbhaviors [except Tumblr, where it is @intrepidbehaviors]) on social media (links also in my page). I do not use Snapchat anymore, please don’t add me on there. You will be very disappointed by the lack of content. Have a beautiful day :)
I composed this song earlier this year. Although it has no singing, it is a song against fascism, against hate, against bigotry, against ignorance, and against anybody who is in a position of political power that has abused their power for personal gain and not to represent the people. The US itself has major issues, deep-rooted in the creation and history of this nation. The people will not be silenced. We will resist anybody who dare tell us that we are not human, that we are not people, and that we are not equal.
I want you to hear this song and know that I am playing for those who resist and for those who want the country to be a better place for anyone, regardless of race, gender, sexual identity, religion, background, culture, and so on.
I am anti-Nazi, anti-KKK, anti-fascism, anti-hate, and anti-ignorance. Although I hope for a better future, all I know now is that the world is lost.
The Mystery Figure // “The Midnight Waltz (Demo Version)” // A Quieter Light to Illuminate the Dark
Hey, so it turns out that it’s been 1 year since I uploaded a version of this song on YouTube. Here’s the official demo version that I was going to release next week (9/9).
I was inspired by the “Sleeping Beauty Waltz”, also known as “Once Upon a Dream”, to make this song. I’ve always wanted to make a waltz, but I thought it was too difficult for me (I can barely do jazz improvs…). This track is about how I have difficulty falling asleep because of my anxiety and depression.
I’ve been listening to this track on my phone when I go to bed, and it knocks me out. It’s kind of weird because I added horns when I recorded it because I liked it, but it’s just a demo version. The final version could be a lot different… for now here’s this.
This picture means so much to me. It’s hard to see on here, but that’s the original photograph of the album cover I released last year. I took that photo not knowing what it would end up becoming, on the exact phone I’m using now to type this. 2015 was a hard year for me. 2016 felt even worse. But this year, even though things aren’t perfect and I still have a lot to work towards, I think I’m making progress.
PERADVENTURE was just a beginning. This music stuff is a hobby, yes, but it’s been a big part of my life. From listening to life changing albums to composing songs that are about myself, I’ve definitely come a long way. That’s why I framed that picture. I never thought I’d get to do that to one of the pictures I took on my smartphone.
Hey guys.
I’ve uploaded a new track to SoundCloud. A Quieter Light to Illuminate the Dark is my second major release. This is the introduction to the whole album, and I wanted to share it. Although I’ve shared videos online on Instagram and YouTube of some of the songs that’ll be featured, this is the first song recorded for the album. It’s not finished yet - the ending itself has not even been recorded - but I wanted to share it because why not.
If you like the song, then please feel free to download it for free through SoundCloud or share it online as well. Let me know what you think of it as well.
I just wrote out the ideas I have for the five solo releases I want to make, including the first two (PERADVENTURE and A Quieter Light to Illuminate the Dark).
Tracklist: 1. Unknown 2. Unknown 3. Made of the Stars / Restart 4. Unknown 5. Unknown 6. Something for the Future / Revolution 7. Unknown 8. The World is Lost (Acoustic Piano Version) [Bonus Track]
FULL ALBUM: NINETY EIGHT | ILLUSIONS | MEMORY IS THE KEY | A VIEW OF THE OCEAN | UNDERWATER ADVENTURES (INTERLUDE) | HAPPY DREAMS | A PENGUIN'S TALE | A VICTORY SONG FOR THE LOST (HIDDEN TRACK)
Part of the project I created, PERADVENTURE, is to create a booklet. Just as physical albums have booklets with information about the tracks, lyrics, and photos, so does this online presentation. I used Microsoft Sway to create this “online booklet” which features links, lyrics, and photos that go along with the album.
I created this booklet because I have no way to physically print or create copies of the album, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and do this instead. Quite honestly, I prefer it so much better than anything I’ve ever seen before - digital PDF booklets with limited engagement, physical booklets with potential errors, or lack of booklets to begin with.
The links within the online booklet should be working; any broken links should be reported here! If there are any mistakes within the booklet, report them here as well.
*If there is anything wrong with the booklet, or it cannot be viewed, then I will do whatever is in my power to fix these errors. Anything that cannot be fixed or changed will be reported. Any questions about the booklet should be sent here.
I hope you enjoy this booklet. It’s taken me months to work on it, and I’m finally glad to have it available to others. [Note: This is NOT a sponsored ad or sponsored content. I, alone, chose to use Microsoft Sway and have NOT been paid to use it or promote it].
