I thought it was an easy assignment, I just wouldn’t have dragged it out as much. However, in the end, we killed it!

3. Why do you think you compose a video in a Rhetoric & Writing Studies class?

Let’s be honest writing can get boring! Using technology to express yourself in other ways is always more fun.

2. What was the most challenging aspect of writing the LR?

Composing it into an actual organized paper! Like seriously.

Genre Analysis Reflection

IMPACT ON WRITING?

Don't get me wrong, I am all for the advancement of oneself, but do I think this will impact my writing, probably not. I appreciated learning how to do this though, but how will this help me in the medical field or in life? The world may never know!

VALUE IN LEARNING ABOUT GENRES? I don't think there's much value in learning about genres. This was an assignment that made me go, "This is like common sense, why must I explain this? Who came up with this stuff?" Obviously someone who had way too much time on their hands and hates people! (Yes, I am aware that the previous sentence is incomplete, but that's because I learned that from someone who likes people!)

What did I learn about genres?

To continuously ask myself why? Why should I complete this? Haha! No, I learned how to express myself in so much detail until I'm blue in the face. (Well that's a lie, because I'm black. Funny how we were once called colored, but that's neither here nor there.) Anyway, I have also learned what are discourse communities and rhetorical issues. So I wasn't totally out of the loop.
