Something that really hadn't occurred to me until my most recent read through of the Hunger Games is how mentally strong Peeta is. When he was stung by the tracker jackers, he still had the mental capacity to fight Cato, tell Katniss to get out of the area, and camouflage himself to the point where nobody was able to find him. AND while Katniss was able to have her stings healed quickly thanks to Rue, Peeta wasn't that lucky.

It all makes it so much sadder in Mockingjay. If Peeta was able to endure that type of pain for so long, the torture Snow put him through with the tracker jacker venom had to be at least 5 times worse than that.

Damn the balant racism the 911 Lone Star fandom shows by depicting Alex, a Black man, as a rapist and an abuser is sickening. Literally all we know about Alex is that a) TK was very in love and felt ready to marry him and b) he cheated on TK (body language also indicated that he felt very guilty about it). TK wouldn't have proposed to Alex, and Owen wouldn't have supported it, if Alex had been any form of abusive. I always think it’s super interesting how everyone, even Obi-Wan now, sees Anakin and Vader as the same person, but Vader still never says anything along the lines of ”I was Anakin”. When he talks about it, he always says something along the lines of “I killed Anakin, he no longer exists”. Makes me curious if the Force sees them as the same person, since really balance isn’t restored until Anakin is resurrected

(Also, side note: Hayden absolutely killed it. I could feel his resentment, melancholy and anger through the screen. That scene will forever live in my head rent free)
