She wasn’t surprised by her sisters response, the instant hostility. “He’s dead.” Alma told her simply, not bothering to fake any emotions. Althea would know she didn’t mean it considering they’d grown up together. They knew what he was like. “This is the information for a vault at Gringotts that you have full access too, it’s your share of the will.” She said, pulling an envelope out of her bag and sliding it across the table.

♕ — Althea didn’t know how she should be feeling when it came to the news that her father was dead. She half expecting to hear about it in the news and not personally from her sister. Carefully, she picked up the envelope and tilted her head to the side as she looked it over. “I was pretty sure that he would have blasted me off the will by now,” she murmured. “Good riddance.”

It had been a while since she’d last spoken to her sister, far to long. Hell they were triplets but her and Alex were basically twins since Althea left. Something Alma was still angry about. But they needed to talk. Sitting down across from her now, it was like looking into a mirror that showed her what life could be like. She didn’t like how it made her feel.

“I’m surprised you showed up- but it’s good you did because there’s some things you need to know.” A pause. “It’s about Dad.”

♕ — The letter had arrived as a bit of a surprise. Althea hadn’t heard from any of her biological family since she had decided that she didn’t agree with their ways. The no-contact hadn’t been her idea-- not speaking to either her sister or brother had been the hardest of it-- but for her own peace of mind. But now, she sat across from her sister who was a mirror image of herself, and tried her best to keep an open mind.

♕ — Then, Alma mentioned their father and Althea has to roll back her shoulders to keep herself seated. “What about our father?”
