quick question, are container themes still a thing?

bc i love y’all but... holy shit i can’t. what’s the point of a blog focused on showcasing someone’s writing having a theme that forces your content to take up maybe a quarter of the screen and is so heavily formatted that it ends up  unreadable and impossible to navigate

like i know i’m acting full grandma here but who’s responsible for this trend and what do they have against me specifically

Leah & Maggie

falls asleep on the couch: both, esp if they’re having a late night talk 

makes friends with the neighbors: both, but leah more so, she’s actively cultivates such relationships more than maggie does. 

is the adventurous eater: they both like to try new food on location, when they’re travelling they like trying the local cuisine but they have limits, I think leah’s limit kicks in before maggie’s tho, maybe not by much but i think it does. 

hogs the covers at night: well they don’t sleep in the same bed, but say they go on vacay and they have to share a bed both hog the cover. It got to the point where they fight in their sleep for it, and eventually they had to decide that it was necessary they had separate covers.  

forgets to do the dishes: leah

tries to surprise their partner more often: both, they both try and get the other to try new things and surprise them with fun activities or by doing something for them or giving them a gift. 

leaves dirty laundry on the floor: both, bc they’re both slobs. altho, never all over the floor, but like in one corner probably bc leah needs the floors to be clean so she can get around. 

stays up til 2 AM reading: i feel leah on this one

sings in the shower: both. 

takes the selfies: oh my gosh they both do, all the time, and they send them to each other. most of their snapchats consist of maggie posing with some cool historic thing she knows leah will appreciate, and leah posing beside some cool thing she just discovered, or sighing over all her paper work. There are a lot of selfies. 

plans date night: it’s kind of a joint effort, where leah would narrow stuff down and actually finalise the plans.

gee i remember when no one knew who aisha dee was and i had her as a fc.  and now that we have the bold type people have realized how lovely she is and are all over that, but i was cool and ahead of the curve

but then i dropped off the face of the earth and never actually wrote anything with that character so who’s the real winner?
