Nothing is quite as humbling as being chronically ill because one second it's oh I'm having a nice bath self care I'm oh my god my vision is blurring I'm having cramps so bad I'm about to puke and I'm gripping the sides of literally any object or counter I can get my hands on while fighting back tears cause I'm just trying to prove to myself that I can at least stand up and get to my bed or phone so if something happens I know I'm 1) safe and 2) able to text for help if I can't get to bed
