Just a child trying to live

In a house full of chaos 

Where love was hard to give

I grew up in a broken home Where anger lingered in the air

Never fully safe

Never fully loved

There was days loud with yelling

And days loud with laughter

I never knew what to expect 

 I tried to be good

To follow the rules

But nothing i did

Made me loved

I was just a child

Longing for peace 

But all i ever found was pain

A longing guilt that will never fade

I don't think i was a bad kid

Just a victim of their hands

Trying to survive 

In a world that never gave me a chance
