🔊 | yn's always hated that feeling, that feeling of suffocation and the moment where his eyes started to cloud up, thus making his vision blurred and his words slurred. It was the most frustrating feeling; to him, it was a moment of weakness. He couldn't bare the thought of seeing him in that state.
Meeting Junpei was a blessing in his life. Junpei never viewed him as someone pathetic, in fact, Junpei admired him for his strength. "Strength," it was something he thought he never had. It was something so foreign to him, it almost felt.. nice to have someone look up to him, and so he soon gained the desire to protect Junpei, he knew how timid Junpei could be, so he'd swallow anything he felt. The day he learned that Junpei was constantly bullied, that fueled his determination to watch over him, to be by his side no matter what.
He mentally prepared himself for this, he knew how ruthless people can be. So why did that same suffocating sensation come crawling and gnawing at his throat? He shouldn't be like this if he wanted to protect Junpei.
Fortunately, Junpei was left alone. However, yn was beaten up to a pulp. In his mind, he wanted to scream. To cry that it hurts so bad, but he couldn't. He was in front of Junpei, he won't cry. He's lost his dignity for far too much, he refuses to be battered down as a weakling. "Shit.." He'd mutter under his breath as a tear threatens to drop.
"Why did you do that?!" Junpei exclaimed in disbelief and concern as he crawled in front of the other, cupping both of his cheeks in his hands to inspect his injuries. "Did you expect me to stand down and watch? The hell did you expect me to do, Junpei?!" He'd yell back with a hiccup. "You could've just stayed where you are! Look at you.." Junpei spoke up once more as his thumb caresses over a nasty bruise.
yn's breath hitches at the feeling- it felt so comfortable, it felt as if it was fine. It was fine to just cry in his arms. "Fuck, Junpei.." He whispered as he ducks his head, he deeply inhaled to calm himself but a tear managed to escape his eye. "I wanted to protect you. I wanted to be someone you could rely on, not some weak douchebag that can't.. do anything!"
Junpei's eyes briefly widened and eventually soften. He opened his mouth to speak, but no words come out. He's never seen yn this distressed. "I know.. that whatever those shitheads said were said just to make me feel bad, but fuck its working.. And I feel so pathetic." He whispered as his hand tightly grips the grass beneath him, a futile attempt of calming himself down.
"I don't want to be weak.. for you." yn finished as tears continued to stream down his face, no matter how much he begged himself not to. yn suddenly felt arms wrap around his head along with Junpei's cheek pressing against his hair.
"You aren't weak, yn. You're already trying your best by doing whatever you're doing and I can't ask for anything better. yn, I love you for the person you are, not if you can protect me or something.." Junpei carefully whispers to him with soft pats on his shoulder. yn's eyes slowly widened at his words.
"I really don't care, yn. So please stop tormenting yourself like this and let me in your space. We're in this together, right?"

🎧 | One day, Yuji surprised you with those cutesy little band aids as an apology for causing genuine cuts by hitting your shoulder / shoulder blades with the sharp tip of the pens.
🎧 | Since Yuji was said to be a pretty decent cook, he'd share his bento sometimes as a separate apology for always kicking your chair. He notice you barely ate anything because you'd always eat in your dorm, he'd give a handful of his bento during breaks.

🎧 | Yeah he did the exact same to you, brows furrowed while shaking his head. He wanted an explanation before stepping in the bear trap.
🎧 | When you briefly explained that all you wanted was a hug, Toge was so tempted to use his damned curse technique.
🎧 | “I'm serious! Just a simple hug!” “Salmon cod roe.” “Excuse me?”
🎧 | But after the whole one-sided back and forth, you eventually got a clearly reluctant hug from him.
🎧 | Though the hug was reluctant, your whole relationship with Toge definitely became lighthearted and comfortable.

🎧 | He was quick to shut his mouth. He backed up two steps as if you were the plague or something. He KNOWS you can be cunning, secretive, and has many tricks up your sleeve.

🎧 | Then you just stared at each other after that. One out of bewilderment and one out of irritation. You can take your guess.

🔊 | Toge's not the type of person to fall in love easily. That part was true; not only would it be hard to communicate with him, but he himself thinks it'll be a burden to love someone like him, thus, he'd always avoid truly "liking" someone.
Well that part changed when a particular sorcerer came by. They were quiet, much like him. They shown interest and affection in many small things and this further proved to Toge that love doesn't have to be spoken out loud. This gave Toge the courage to love someone despite his Curse Technique and open up, inevitably expressing his feelings.

🎧 | As much as Toge love's speaking through texts, he won't actually confess through online communication. He has class lol
🎧 | Though even if he DID have class, he was in a predicament. He can't spout "tuna tuna" or "salmon" now can he? This brought Toge to search online and find some tips and tricks.
🎧 | Toge would most probably prepare a letter-- just a simple letter, he'd absolutely pour out his heart and express whatever he felt. He saw some people confess through letters so he thought about this and it was the best option for him.
🎧 | Toge would also probably prepare something hand-crafted if you're allergic to flowers or don't like flowers in general. Or he'd get those book bouquets or something related to that
🎧 | Since you were someone like him, he'd also probably make a playlist that reminds him of you BUT he printed it and placed it on his journal.
🎧 | Speaking of journals, Toge even made a whole journal about his favorite experiences about you, his favorite feature of you etc. In the journal, there was also a mini gallery of you and Toge together, candid photos of the both of you either separately or together.
🎧 | The day he had to give it though? Bless his heart. He doesn't blush often but when he does you can vaguely see a red tint around his cheeks. Though it was always covered so you can't even tease.
