i'm kinda considering deleting tumblr from my phone lowkey. this and pinterest. i just keep essentially doomscrolling on these apps, and i'm realizing it's prob bad for my anxiety. always looking at my feed, seeing what new posts there are, and checking my notifs how the fuck have i managed to doomscroll on pinterest??

not that i'm gonna stop writing. that's a computer activity, and i only ever post my stories through computer lol. so web tumblr will be accessible, but not phone tumblr.

you and 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐝 once—as a prank—decided to pretend that the two of you were playing a prank on 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐬. it was easily one of the most entertaining things the two of you had done.

it started out with suspicious stares—eyes lingering a little too long on him, and lips a little too upturned to be considered normal. the captain raised a questioning eyebrow, and the two of you looked away too quickly, 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐝'𝐬 chest ever so slightly shaking with laughter.

and then the giggles started. you'd look at 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐬 briefly and then back at 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐝, and the two of you would break into a small fit of laughter. it was enough to peak the others' curiosity, but neither of you said anything.

after all, there wasn't anything to come forward about.

𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐝 suggested that you both started fixating your gazes on his scarf a bit, pretending like it was somehow related. 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐬 took it off and looked it over twice trying to see if there was something wrong with it.

it did eventually get to the point where you and 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐝 couldn't even look at each other or the captain without laughing. every bit of strength had to be used to keep a straight-ish face when 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐬 looked at you.

he would've been a lot more annoyed if it wasn't for the fact that it was coming from their youngest—the one he truly considered to be a little brother. and unfortunately, this was little siblings behavior.

𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐬 eventually tackled the sailor to the ground randomly, demanding answers from the hysterically laughing child, not letting him move until he relented. but you swooped in like the knight in shining armor he was supposed to be and pinned 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐬 to the ground, giving 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐝 enough time and room to get out.

"there's nothing wrong with you!" the sailor cackled, fleeing with you in tow. "nothing's going on at all!"

because, well, there was nothing going on.

i don't rly know what came over me today. i haven't drawn in like years. but i had a thought and it wanted out. i am a writer, not an artist. other than the occasions where i am, in fact, an artist

he's got the 2 intertwined circles symbolizing that he's married (same that rocky has)

doesn't really have a family crest, so he just kinda made up a kokiri crest to go along with malon's family crest he got when they were married

idk if it's canon or not, but i'm hc-ing that one of the arms has your own family crest, and the other is your mate's crest :)

Hello! I'm the anon who left the compliment with no ask earlier. ^-^ In regards to the water element, I would say you did a great job of showcasing the learning process. I agree that elemental magic can feel corny sometimes, however I believe that is mostly due to having elemental magic with no sense of progression. In your fic, the elemental magic being apart of how one would traverse a dungeon works well considering the context.

For example, in Avatar the Last Airbender we see Katara struggle with water bending. It isn't until much later after trial and error does she conquer it. By showing how exhausted the reader is, and by also how they still struggle despite these new abilities, makes it feel more satisfying when at the end of chapter 11 we see them succeed (even if only temporarily). The reader not being treated like an anime protagonist who is naturally good at fighting the first they do it makes the reader a more compelling character. The push and pull between starting to grasp the element, and then being tested makes the reading experience even more enjoyable.

That being said, I am thoroughly excited to see what you have in store next! Also, if you ever want to discuss elemental magic I'd love to be apart of the discussion (World building is my favorite ^-^).

this probably counts as a spoiler but idc. in this dungeon, she is very inexperienced with both magic and water manipulation. but she's got a enough things going for her to make it count. fairies lying around, being able to take time to recover magic, and—most importantly—a shit ton of water all around her

and she's not magically going to come out of the dungeon all experienced and a magical wielding water-bending expert. she's still an amateur who barely survived her first dungeon (as i imagine most of the Links were tbh). what are you going to do when you're stuck in the middle of the field? when there's no water close by, a few potions on hand maybe (and you need time to drink it first), and possibly not enough magic on hand

TRIGGER WARNING: personal opinions

IMPORTANT FIRST NOTE!!!! i do not give a flying fuck what other people write and i am not trying to tell other people how they should be writing characters. do whatever the fuck you want; we have free will. these are just my personal opinions

i find it weird to genderbend characters for the sake of romance. it's cool and often pretty interesting if it's relevant to the story outside of relationships/romance, but otherwise i'm just don't vibe with it. it kinda circles back to my troubles with so much fanfiction being abt gay men and no one wanting to write abt women. story for another day

fem!warriors trying to navigate being a military leader during the war, but not being taken seriously bc she's a woman? or maybe they're lesbians trying to live in a world that's not queer-friendly? sounds like a banger story

romance where a character was turned into a woman for the sake of having boobs and a coochie? or into a man for the sake of having a dick? genderbending a character bc they think it makes them more desirable? kind of a big turn off for me

BUT!!!!

i find genderbending to be different from hc-ing a character to be trans. y'know how, some people hc wild to be trans? in my head trans!wild is different from fem!wild, regardless of whatever gender trans!wild is now

in regrads to writing trans characters, same rules apply in my head. i want it to be relevant to the story outside of relationships/romance. i just want their identity to be relevant in some way, shape, or form outside of being considered more attractive

like i once read a one-shot abt ftm!warriors x twilight, and it was about him being on his period and how he copes with it, cause it just reminds him that he's not a man. and it was just cute and interesting and i loooved the premise.

Hello! I am new here and I just caught up on your series "In Another Life?" and wanted to tell you how much I loved the writing! I rarely see people write for First, and I love the way you characterized him. ^-^ I also love how you give the reader a sense of progression and struggle. Reading the part where they go into the temple made me feel like I was actually playing legend of zelda in that moment (although a much scarier one). And the ANGST of the entire situation is just, ❤️💔. Also, I hope that I didn't come off as weird, I just really loved the writing and wanted to let you know! 😅

i've been having a *time* writing reader. bc like, i don't want to make her a flat character that's just going along on a wild ride, or for the adventure to be too overshadowed by romance. and unrelated, but i'm kinda regretting giving her the water powers a little? it's just feeling kinda cheesy to me atm, the whole elemental powers thing. i think i may have an idea on how to make it not so cheesy, but idkk

but YAYYYY i'm glad it felt like an actual zelda game!!!! that's what i was aiming for. and in terms of scariness, i'm trying to mimic a real zelda-style dungeon, but if like an actual person with human emotions was going in there. she's not a video game character being controlled by us; she's a scared woman, entering a dangerous dungeon alone and for the first time, with no fighting experience.

but! i'm also kinda being inspired by elden ring LOL. bc that game is just more gruesome, difficult, and realistic (i also need to grab dungeon inspo from somewhere). but the montsers and stuff and traps are all typical to a zelda dungeon! with the exception of black-blooded monsters (which are a lot stronger than typical monsters) (this will be relevant in the future >:3 ) so it's just kinda giving wild + warriors going through the dungeon rn vs. legend + hyrule

but yeah. ramble. and slight hints towards the future hehe. i think that's the easiest way to get me to give hints about something wow. you didn't even ask me a question; i just went straight to rambling. but it's fine. if it wasn't, i'd delete those paragraphs lol

Adult timeline Lullaby had a very rough childhood. It made her tough, it made her strong. Survival and training forged her into a stern warrior and leader—not the kind-hearted princess her late mother said she would be. There was more Sheik in her than Zelda now.

Adult timeline Malon also had a rough childhood, but not in the ways Lullaby did. Her father fell behind on duties and chores, and Ingo picked them up in ways she didn't approve of in the slightest. She learned how to get what she wanted, how to negotiate, and how to make people think they got what they wanted. Ingo thought he ran the ranch like a well-oiled machine; it was actually Malon pulling all the strings.

Ganondorff fell, and with Lullaby's help, Malon had Ingo arrested for supporting the Demon King and Usurper. There was a small spark between the two girls though.

It was nothing romantic, just a small flash of companionship. Neither of them grew up with female companionship really, and the small moments they shared just then were... nice.

It started out as nothing more than sisterhood—solidarity between women, and also between women who were specifically getting rid of awful men. And Malon invited her back, a gesture that was a mix of hospitality and a desire to build something between the two of them. She invited both Zelda and Sheik—whoever she was now, she would be welcome at Lon Lon Ranch.

Sheik accepted the invite.
