Changing Jobs

As you read this, I’m enjoying two weeks of free vacation time, courtesy of my two-weeks notice. 

After some not-so-nice experiences at my employer in Atlanta, I have decided to work for one of their competitors. It’s a long story, and I can explain one day, but the details are not important at this time.

In the meantime, I’m left wondering what to do with my staycation. I can’t afford to travel, but I’m struggling with boredom after day two! Any ideas are helpful. I’m going hiking tomorrow, and I’ve started a knitting project, but these are not going to take two weeks...

So I’m Having a Bad Day

Dear world - Why do you have to be so crappy sometimes? Why do people have bad intentions? I don’t understand.

This morning, my boss wanted to meet with me to “catch up.” Then he proceeded to blindside me with the mean words that my colleagues are speaking about me. He believes those words it seems and it cut deep y’all. To the point that I had to leave work early today.

I have been nice, friendly, and accommodating of all the people I work with. I am dumbfounded as to who would say such horrible words about me. It really makes me question myself and my value.

Struggling

It’s been a while since I posted on here; it’s nothing personal against anyone, and I wish I had the time and energy to do more here. It’s a safe place for me on the Tumblr-verse.

But I’m struggling, guys. I’m struggling with my well-being, with my running (where did my joy and drive go?), with my diet, with balance. I’m not sure how to get back to my somewhat normal self.

Please pray for me. That I can get back to what I enjoy and what matters to me, instead of being pulled along day by day.

Zucchini Muffins

It’s Friday! This is the start of my last weekend before I start my new job on Monday, so I thought that I would bake up some zucchini muffins to celebrate. I have had a couple zucchini squash sitting in my fridge all week (I was too lazy to sauté them for dinner). I didn’t want them to go to waste, and I like to bake….this is a no-brainer.
