My look for the Xlov concert is probably gonna be my most elaborate yet. Both pictures are mine. The top is practice cheek makeup and the bottom is one side (the other hand is slightly different) of the press ons I put together to match the members’s colors. I’m super excited. It’s gonna be amazing
While I was looking up methods to shorten the duration of my cold that I got a little over a week ago, I kept seeing sources that said “if your cold lasts more than 3-5 days, it’s advised to see a doctor.”
And this is so baffling to me??????? I mean it’s possible that I might have a slightly fucked up immune system without knowing it, but I’ve never had a cold where the symptoms lasted less than a week. Never in my life. Is it actually normal to get over a cold that fast? Or is it a potential sign that I do indeed have some sort of mild immune issue (which would track due to family history)?
What ppl tend to not understand about chaebol corporations is that they’re not like American megacorps. American megacorps are mainly in control over all areas within specific industries. Chaebols however compete with each other for being in charge of multiple industries at once.
I’ve seen the same logo for a water cooler, a phone service carrier, and a gas station. SK corp. And then there’s CJ corp which is in charge of mnet, multiple packaged food companies, multiple cosmetics brands (including the overall store Olive Young) and many more.
It’s not like ConAgra which owns more food companies than you can imagine but not much outside food.
Literally just saw the worst take on ig about the concept of gold star lesbians and that according to this person it’s not harmful and it’s being reclaimed and that the people who are feeling hurt are bi ppl who feel excluded.
Girl… that’s not who is claiming to be hurt by it. The concept hurts lesbians who are shamed for not having had a straightforward path towards understanding and discovering their own sexuality. Not everyone has a direct internal sense from the get go about what they like. And even for those who do, they are not always in an environment where it feels possible to acknowledge that part of themselves. Which means that some people who end up identifying as lesbian later on happen to have their first relationship(s) with men while they are still figuring themselves out.
Some people do not get to easily escape the clutches of deeply entrenched internalized homophobia that is planted and maintained by circumstances beyond their control. And then telling those people that their own identities do not carry the same level of validity due to having different past experiences only adds insult to injury. And that’s on top of the concept of “gold star lesbians” perpetuating the misogynistic idea that women’s past sexual partners inherently define them and who they are.
I went to TWO big kpop stores in dongdaemun over the weekend and asked if they had Modyssey ans at the first store it was a straight out “no” and at the second store the guy was like “who tf is that?”

reblog if you remember what it felt like to walk into blockbuster
If you’re reblogging this maybe also do a couple stretches. Gods know our back and shoulders could use it.
The aging of the Tumblr userbase does more for my stretching routine then anything else.
Thank you, my generational cousins. I will go and stretch now.
Oh yeah, fun thing the other day! While I was out shopping for outfits for the XLOV concert with my friend who I’m going with, Uncool was playing in one of the stores. So I was talking about how happy I was to hear it in a public place and bro hadn’t even heard of OnlyOneOf. I was like “dude, as a gay kpop fan you will absolutely be missing out if you don’t check them out.”
He already likes XLOV so now it’s time to convert him into being a LyOn as well.
Presentation in a class from a guy who does luxury marketing. I am wayyyyy too skeptical about consumerism and “eat the rich” opinioned for this stuff.
This was me yesterday after shopping for my outfit for the xlov concert. My fit is gonna be so fire but, I spent moneyyyyyyy
The English pronunciation of some of these cities during train announcements is super funny to me. Yeon-shin-nae was pronounced yawn-sin-nay. I mean I get making it comprehensible for the tourists but damn that’s just SO far off the original pronunciation 😭
xlov for their feature in people!
IM SO PROUD OF THEM 🥺
God I love the Korean rail system. People are quiet, it’s relatively clean, too. You can get so many places. And it’s mostly air conditioned. And there’s good wifi. Good public transit is so magical.

Spin the wheel. That's who's trying to kill you.
Spin the wheel again. That’s who’s trying to protect you.
(If you have zero idea about a name you got, spin until you see someone you recognize.)
Are you safe?
Absolutely not. I'm dead. 100% dead.
I might stay alive, but it'll be a really close thing.
I'll take some hits, for certain, but I should be okay in the end.
A few attacks might get through, but nothing concerning.
The attacker might be able to get in one lucky hit. If that.
I am the opposite of worried. I'm 100% safe.
…Look. I've tried picturing this. But I honestly don't know how to answer.
(I've run this poll twice before, expanding it significantly for the second run. With about a year passed since that second run, I thought it was time to add another couple hundred names to the list and have another go.)
Got uv photocard sleeves so now I can go back to having Mama Muti with me wherever I go without having to worry about it fading even more
Man, I’m gonna be so sad when I go back to the US and won’t be able to get myself a whole ass meal for less than $10 anymore. In an American restaurant, the soup I’m eating now would probably cost anywhere between $18-23 — before tax, mind you. In Korea I paid the won equivalent of a few cents under 8 bucks, tax included. Going out to eat in America is practically fraudulent.
