But it’s just family issues.” Teri told him before nodded her head, “ I couldn’t agree with you more. I do not mind holding the job for her, she is one of our best employees, and I’m always here for her whenever she needs anyone.”

“Ya know, I’m going to worry about you because you are my best friend. I’m here for you always. No matter what.” Tom told her. It was true, he would always be there for her. “Exactly. I’m going to check in with Paisley sometime later see if I can go and see her. This way I can tell her she still has her job and that we are both here for her.”

“Sorry we’re closed for the evening.” Teri called to the person who walked in. It was a short day and she was the only one working the night shift that night. So she decided to close up for the evening since no one was coming in at all for the past hour or so. “ I guess I can go ahead and help you before I turn everything off. So what can I get you?” She asked once up front at the corner. @secretsummerstarters

Sofie smiled. With her past, she had no way to gauge if people meant what they said, so she didn’t really know if she could believe him but it was nice to hear anyway. She moved to stand up and shrugged. “Hm, I’m not sure… why don’t you pick a place and surprise me.” She chuckled.

Tom couldn’t help but smile over at her. He could get used to seeing her smile. Standing up at well, he moved to grab them some refills before returning to her. “I think I can do that. Do you trust me?”

He’d been nothing but good to her since she got here… but he didn’t know about her past and she didn’t doubt he’d run for the hills. “Y’know, that sounds pretty good to me actually.” She nodded. “Anywhere in particular?”

“Seriously anytime. Day or night.” Tom meant what he said, he would be there for her anytime. No matter the hour. Whatever was going on, it seemed like she needed someone and he had no problem being there for her. “Anywhere you want to go?”
