I know the answer is probably โnoโ but did Nimue ever try and look into her future to see who sheโd marry?
And what would the ROโs reaction be if they were told/saw that their future spouse was Mordred?
I LOVE the game, Iโve played the Patreon update every chance I get, thank you for writing it, BoC is a delight! ๐ก๏ธ๐ฅ
You guessed right, she didn't! She's not necessarily planning on marrying, either. She'd do it if it meant extending some security/protection, be it financial or social/political to her partner, but otherwise she's not set on it.
I'll describe their reactions upon receiving this revelation before they properly met Mordred or had barely just met them because I think it's the most fun scenario.
Elaine's kneejerk reaction would be "who the hell are you to tell me what I'll do?!" After some consideration, she'll decide that things have either gone horrifically wrong and she's been strongarmed into a marriage she doesn't want, or things went terrifically well and she married someone she loves - and a fellow knight.
Galahad would just spiral. What do you mean? Surely there's something missing from the vision. It can't be true. What's the context? Is this some convoluted plot he'll have to take part of to keep an eye on Mordred - will he prove weak and fall for Mordred's charms and allow them to destroy Camelot?
Gawain's excited. There is no doubt in his mind that they married out of love. But please, no more details! Don't spoil the surprise.
Agravain finds it weird and peculiar to know. Being around Mordred feels kind of weird and awkward now. They need to know what they think on the matter but the idea of talking about it makes their face heat up so hard they fear their brain will boil. They can't help but think - when do I know things have shifted, and they feel different about me now? Like I'm someone they would marry. Doubt would also creep in - is this a loving union, or something born out of convenience?
Isac finds this amusing. Please, no more details - he really wants to find out on his own how this series of events happen. Will their love conquer the political tensions between his people and Camelot? Will they elope? Is this some sort of political union to broker peace? Is Mordred taking the throne of Camelot and making him King? Much to ponder.
Sofie is intrigued. Her mind is whirring with possibilities - is this a political strategical move on their part, a love union, or both?
The Dragon Friend is pleasantly surprised. And... is it that big of a surprise, anyway? They know their futures are intertwined, and perhaps they didn't specifically know it'd be romantically, but they look forward to it. Though if they're married it's because Mordred wanted to, since it's not something they really care about, or something dragons usually do.
