"I didn’t exactly expect to see you here, actually I don’t expect to see you at all." James glanced over to N who had finished speaking to him. He hadn’t even realized that N was filling the table he had planned to sit at; he didn’t care but he should have looked now that this is happening. James sighed and leaned on the table, "They’re saying another group is popping up. Something with a whole different dimension as their goal. Something weird like that.."
With a shrug he stopped talking. There wasn’t much about the rumor to say that was worth while. The only part of the rumor that could have been true James already said; the rest was just fluff that couldn’t pass for real at all. “That’s pretty much it. It’s stupid; lies, lies, and more lies caked on one another until people believe it.”
What did this person mean that he didn't expect to see him again? Maybe the fleeting thought that the other was familiar was not incorrect. Either way, he could never help but feel uncomfortable whenever he was recognized. In the moment it didn't seem like this human would try anything irrational-- but of course, people had a tendency to be completely unpredictable.
"That does sound irrational. Perhaps none of it is even true at all." Though he has heard of many troublesome groups of people popping up in the past from place to place and another one coming in wouldn't be too unpredictable, this goal seemed strange in a way. Maybe with more information, it would make much more sense, but standing alone made the rumor seem like it really didn't have much going for it. "And if it is, their goal would have to be clarified for anyone to understand." He glanced over to the other again, looking him over just to confirm that he didn't know exactly who they were. "Do I know you...?"
