Romance and Horror Makes the Perfect April TBR 2ā3 minutes Loading⦠XOXO by Axie Oh The first book Iām planning on reading (and may have already finished at the time of writing this) is XOXO by Axie Oh, the author of one of my favourite books of all time. Iām not expecting much from this K-Pop celebrity YA romance except some cute, fluffy vibes to contrast some of the darker books on my TBRā¦

Time Travel Romances, Grief, and Cannibalism || March Wrap-Up 2ā4 minutes Loading⦠March had was a month of two halves, categorised by time travel romances and books featuring cannibalism (with a few others sprinkled in to fill the gaps) and I promise that it wasnāt intentional, it just kind of happened. But I had a great time and read some great books so keep reading to get my brief thoughtsā¦
Is Through Gates of Garnet and Gold Worth Reading? Wayward Children #11 Review
types of readers
paperback: dog-eared corners, warm lamplight, bookmarks made from receipts, quiet afternoons, sweaters too big for their hands, turning pages slowly, libraries that smell like dust and vanilla, tea stains on margins
fireside: wool blankets, crackling fireplaces, stories read past midnight, soft socks on cold floors, mugs held in both hands, falling asleep with a book on their chest, comfort characters that feel like family
rainyday: tapping windows, grey skies, curled legs under blankets, chapters measured in raindrops, candlelight flickering beside worn covers, gentle silence, getting lost between pages while the world stays quiet
bookshop: narrow aisles, stacks taller than their arms, reading first pages while standing up, tote bags heavy with stories, handwritten staff notes, small cafƩs hidden between shelves, the thrill of finding the one
margin: penciled thoughts in tiny handwriting, underlined sentences, favorite passages memorized, folded pages to return to later, books that feel like conversations, words that linger long after the ending
midnight: glowing bedside lamps, ājust one more chapter,ā tired eyes and full hearts, blankets pulled to their chin, stories that stretch into dreams, quiet houses and turning pages, time disappearing unnoticed
windowseat: golden afternoon light, knees tucked close, forgotten cups of tea gone cold, soft breathing and slower worlds, watching seasons change between chapters, peaceful loneliness
hardcover: worn spines and gentle care, stories kept for years, bookshelves arranged like memories, rereading favorite lines, comfort in familiar endings, pages that feel like home

A Great Start to the Year | January Wrap-Up 3ā4 minutes Loading⦠We always plan to start the year off on a high and, reading-wise, I think I achieved that. While the first book I read was a bit of a disappointment, everything else I read was great, and I even possibly have some new favourites already. The Political Nature of Reading
The Political Nature of Reading 6ā9 minutes Loading⦠With growing tensions in countries all across the world, and the reprehensible actions of ICE agents in the US, once again weāve been seeing an influx of āletās keep politics out of readingā and I have finally had enough. Let me put this as clearly as possible; bookish spaces are (and always have been) inherently political.Ā The Politics ofā¦
