With the backlash given for the season finale and it’s lgbtq representation of loki I would like to bring in a few facts to show that this was in no way malicious on marvels part.
1. Loki in mythology has always been sexuality and gender fluid meaning that he can be any being any gender he wishes and two that although he has lain with many, he ultimately weds a woman. Doesn’t make his sexuality any less than pan or bi.
2. As a bisexual woman and I know many other bi friends can agree with me in saying, people who doubt your sexuality because you are dating or married to someone of the opposite sex is absolutely frustrating. Im married to a man but I don’t consider myself any less bisexual than before. I am still attracted to both men and women. You can’t choose who you fall in love with, my soulmate just happened to be a man.
Loki being bisexual or pansexual has always been a thing. With marvel and through his mythology. Just because you fall in love with someone of the opposite sex doesn’t make that any less true. This whole argument and getting upset at poor Tom who probably had nothing to do with much in the series is aggressive. As a bi woman I would love to see bi representation but having Loki fall in love with a woman who has been there almost the whole show and who’s relationship we have seen blossoming throughout the series is taking it a bit too far.
