Chapter 5 REFERENCES CONCEPTS from undertale. Flowery himself CAME FROM MISSPELLINGS OF FLOWEY. Toby created him as ANOTHER GOLDEN FLOWER CHARACTER WHO WAS ACTUALLY NAMED FLOWERY.

FLOWERY IS *NOT* FLOWEY, HE IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE A VARIATION OF FLOWEY/ASRIEL, AND HE NEVER WAS.

Well obviously Flower and Flowery aren't the same person, but I like the idea that they're the same Flower and I don't see how this deconfirms that. In Undertale, the Flower was possessed by Asriel, but in Deltarune the Flower became a person in a completely different way by entering a dark world, making him a different person.

Of course, there's no evidence that they're the same flower, just the same kind of flower, but it's something that I like to headcannon.

You know what's one thing that annoys me? When Earthbound fans try to argue that the "America" in Mother 1 and the "Eagleland" in Mother 2 are two different countries in the Earthbound world.

You mean to tell me that this fictional world has both the actual real life United States and a spoof of the United States existing as separate countries at the same time? And one of them is only mentioned in the first game, and the other is only mentioned in the second game which only features countries that are spoofs of real countries?

No. This is so obviously a case of the developers changing their minds about having real countries in their game world. There's no way these are actually intended to be different countries.
