well, here we go: my extremely last-minute submission into TGSHalloween! :}

praying tumblr doesn't nuke the quality (it probably will)

"wow haha i sure Wonder what Vampyon Enthusiast is gonna draw for halloween, i sure wonder if it'll be vampyon haha", my mutuals joked. they were then shot 37 times /meme

i know jekyll dressed as jack skellington has done before, but while trying to sit down to work on my former halloween-themed sketch, i decided to put on the soundtrack to Nightmare Before Christmas in case it'd help me finish the drawing. it did help me finish A Drawing! just... not the one i thought it would, lmao. but then again, this turned out a lot better than that sketch was going to, so yippee :)

i hand drew the stripes in a fit of 4am mania. this was started at like, 2am? and finished at 7:30. in the true spirit of halloween, i didn't get any sleep due to skeletons and mad scientists and undead dogs last night <3

it doesn't help there's a song from The Nightmare Before Christmas in the official tgs volume 1 playlist, which adds an additional layer of mental connection there to me. idk i'm just Really Normal about this comic, as you may see /j

i actually had no idea whether i'd get a drawing done for this. i'm so chronically Bad at sticking to any given plan that i've never been able to participate in timed events like this before. needless to say i surprised myself today :} yippee!

1. hyde becomes less freaky (and the text boxes change colour)

2. this one was first pointed out to me by @kayatoastkkat !! this is such a big difference, and it surprised me a LOT. I really dont understand why this would need to be changed, but I'm very disappointed.

tldr: jekyll says much less during the following scenes in the physical copy

3. same issue as above, LET JEKYLL BE GAY AND YAP :(

4. issue continued yet again.

I don't understand why these changes would be made??? it's not like it no homos them. they're obviously still super in love here, jekyll is just less melodramatic about his 15 yr long situationship, which I think takes away from the scenes and him as a charecter.

anyway.. minor, less controversial, changes from the digital to physical I noticed included: more of the colour of text boxes being changed, words being unbolded, and minor changes to what characters say - if people are interested in seeing these ill make a follow up but they're pretty insignificant

neither this post or my previous is meant to start hate or discourse against Sage, the creator. it is an interesting talking point though
