Would you trust your oc with a baby?

I know I wouldn't trust most of my villains (with the exception of Neried... probably)

#Majka Anwar and Yue could all probably be trusted but Anwar and Yue are the only ones who would enjoy it at all #Majka would be terrified of hurting the baby but would be fine for a bit. I think Yue has babysat before and knows what she is doing #Anwar likes babies and has experience with younger cousins and siblings hes fine #Dice… I really don’t know how that would go but he should not be trusted to keep anything alive including himself #Adie is not human and has no clue what to do with a child. I also think she would hate it. Think Rose in steven universe but if she didn’t #like kids #Hound would outright refuse #there is no scenario that could get him to care for a kid if he found a baby on the street he would go up to someone random and give it to #them rather than care for it itself #it does not want that responsibility ever #Clay ocs

#Dice and Jeanie both have been #Dice as a late teen after running away and also after he escapes a little while later #Jeanie when they leave their work and have to go completely undetected #I haven’t really fleshed out that part of her story but I think it would be quite a while before she found a place to live

an a zombie apocalypse, which oc is living the longest?

#Probably Jeanie. Although that feels like cheating because she is significantly older and more experienced than most of my other ocs #but she is very smart and level headed. I think they can handle pressure pretty well and are pretty street smart #also she has lived alone for quite a while and has a pretty pessimistic view of the world anyway. I think she could take being the #only survivor #Clay ocs

#Dear god Yue does #it is actually pretty close with its mom but its mom is also 99% of the reason Yue puts itself below everyone else #her mom is an even worse people pleaser than her and raised her to believe that she should avoid confrontation as much as possible #and Yue very much picked up on how her mom would put herself below everyone as a kid and now does that herself #Yue is getting better with it and sort of resents its mom for being such a harmful influence on it. but she does still care for her a lot #and her mom has since realized how she went wrong and tries her best to reconcile #Clay ocs

what would it take for your oc to turn on someone they've known their entire life?

#For Dice very little #he is scared of commitmant and cannot trust anyone. he would be most likely to turn on someone impulsively because he was feeling paranoid #one time at like 9 pm. he left his brother. he left Jeanie. both on impulse.#Majka it would take so much. it took years of hating Dice before she left and she only knew them for a few months before that #I think they would have to physically harm someone she deeply cared about. probably consistently or over a long period of time #enough for her to realize that she has to choose between them and that if she values a relationship with the person she cares for #then she cannot be around the person she has known for a long time #I don’t think any harm done to her personally short of trying to kill her would make her turn on someone she feels she is supposed to #have a relationship with #Clay ocs

#probably “your feelings matter to me”#specifically thinking of Majka but also applies to Yue a lot #Majka has spent so much of her life feeling guilty for not wanting things and ignoring her needs. she deserves to be told that it is okay #to have your own experiences even if they aren’t convenient for others #Yue doesn’t so much feel that she shouldn’t have her own needs but more that it is her job to put everyone else first. so it never actually #gets to feel things. she will do anything for someone without question because she feels like that is the only way to have people care #about her and not get mad at her #Yue is more of a people pleaser at her own expense while Majka absolutely represses herself to hell and back because she thinks #that because she is the one feeling these things she is automatically wrong #hence why she didn’t realize she was trans for so long. didn’t realize or admit she was ace. stayed around Dice and Adie for so long. etc #Clay ocs

Which OC would the fandom mischaracterise the most?

#People would make Dice out to be the victim. he would definitely be the fandom favorite #tbf they are also the “protagonist” but they are such an asshole idc that they have gone through a lot #people would absolutely either dislike or terribly water down Yue #Majka too probably. Oh also they would HATE Adie. But tbf I have kinda written her to be entitled and selfish #but she is nowhere near as bad as Dice. who as established would be the favorite. but Adie is a black woman so obviously she would be hated #Clay OCs #<- finally giving them a tag #overall I think Yue would be the most mischaracterized #or Adie

my favoritest thing in hermitcraft fanfiction is when it takes place in a pseudo-minecraft fantasy realm but the hermits are still sometimes described with their nationalities. like okay this is a world where magic exists and you can respawn after you die and the entirety of reality sometimes gets new features added and new worlds can be created out of thin air, each with their own accompanying otherworldly pocket dimensions, and some people have special admin powers that allow them to alter the fabric of reality, and gods/cosmic horror monsters/a weird cult called the Watchers may or may not inhabit the spaces in between existence. also Canada exists. Canada exists here and we are not going to address it

#I have to say this is also just my ocs #like. they live in a scifi dystopia type world but also Majka is very explicitly Polish. how? Dunno. space Poland exists or something #And most of my other ocs in that universe do have intended heritages (Dice is German for example) but not as explicitly as Majka #Clay OCs

Maybe this is an unpopular hot take, but I think a good monster girl design should struggle with day-to-day life in a human world. If your monster girl can live a normal human life where her greatest inconvenience is wet dog smell or people assuming her tail is fake, you need to mix more monster in your girl.

Harpies who can't write or type or open most containers with their wings. Werewolves who worry about hurting someone if they get overstimulated at the wrong time. Minotaurs with digestive systems and metabolisms which require grazing throughout the day, not the three big meals humans are used to.

Lamias who have to stay home in the evenings and during cold months to stay warm, otherwise their muscles stop working right and they get stranded. And they're sick of their human friends suggesting they get some kind of tail sweater. It wouldn't help, the problem is that their body doesn't produce enough heat to begin with, and anyways a tail garment would get in the way of their rectilinear locomotion, and there's no way a sweater would survive being walked on in the first place. It feels like they don't actually care about you being stuck at home whenever they go out, they just want to feel like it's not their fault they never see you.

If your monster girl can't be read as some kind of disability allegory, you're doing something wrong.
