Whatever happens, know that I love you fiercely. All this is for you.

i've missed my tiny corner of the internet here on tumblr. time has flown. i feel older and different but somehow exactly the same.
There is emptiness, and there’s you walking away. I would choose the first.

i miss the late night conversations. the type of talks where you drone on together endlessly over the radiowaves connected by a signal science can explain. and that human connection felt in your heartstrings. the connection that makes you feel the subtle buzz and flutter deep in your chest.
my feelings always come back to water, like the cliche of a wave falling against my skin. but it doesn’t crash or slap or knock me down. it creeps in slowly like a river in flood season after a drought. even though the riverbed is dry we still call it a river. because the memory is still there.
that velvety wave of nostalgia wrapped me up again tonight. the water creeped up to my ankles. i dipped a toe in expecting it to be shallow but instead i sank. i imagine all the things i would have done and should have said.
for now i’ll keep afloat on my back in the warm tepid water with my eyes closed, fingers combing through the water.

If someone loves you, they should never feel like they’re missing out on something else.

I love my friends, got to catch up with some of them recently, and start my new bomb-ass job next week
