Apothecary diaries "fans": Maomao does NOT like children and wouldn't want to have any. Stop making every female character be a mother!

Canon Maomao:

Is very jealous because princess Lingli has forgotten her and now likes Jinshi more and has mentioned that multiple times (in her head).

Clearly and deliberately states she wants to experience pregnancy at least once. (Even if she mostly mentioned being excited for placenta, pls let's not act like she'd just throw the kid away)

Pays attention to children all the time and when they misbehave she blames the parents for neglecting them and their needs (even if she does call them brats).

Saves kids and continues to ask about them even if someone else takes care of them.

Loves well behaved kids and occasionally thinks of stealing them away (the girl in ln 12).

And, this is an edit cause I can't believe I forgot that but the story LITERALLY is set in motion because Maomao is unable to stand aside and do nothing when emperors children were dying. If Maomao didn't like the kids, there would be no story.

Not every single character needs to be a mother but this one wants to be one and she's be a great parent honestly

Jinmao Open Secret in ln 15

There is so much in vol 15 of the apothecary diaries light novels that is just wow Jinshi and Maomao really aren't hiding this in the slightest anymore, and the one time they try they fail.

I can't help but imagine when Maomao shows up to see the new pages of Kada's book at the same time as the senior physicians, and her and Jinshi have a quiet conversation a bit behind the physicians actually reading the pages that Loumen was like "speak up my age is catching up to me," just trying to pretend whatever is happening behind him isn't. He can't hear any of their conversation but he knows its happening, and the idea of him just nope not my daughter and the moon prince that's not real.

Like Jinshi's first thought when the physician's show up is Maomao? and he then admits in front of them he would have sent her a letter about it later in the day if he'd know she would have come straight here too. The casualness of that has to spark something in their heads, and it can't be great.
