Finding new (good) music releases some sort of chemical in my brain. For as long as I remember I have always been on the hunt to find that new record or tune that gives me that dopamine hit. Thats what I love about digging for records. I dug this record out of the dustiest of bins up here in Whitehorse. I recognized the TTC logo right away! On the back of the record Moonstarr is in full Maple Leafs gear, no bucket on, hair flowing everywhere, looking like a 1970's goal scorer. I immediately did some research on the album and found it fell into the electro-jazz and break beat genre and that one of Moonstarr's biggest influencers was Dj Premier. At this point I had read enough, I scurried to the counter with my toonie, a school boy smile across my face and the record under my arm. As tradition goes as soon I got into the car I put the album on Spotify and instantly new I hit gold, I was bobbing my head all the way up two mile hill, giddy to fire up the stereo and give the album a proper listen.
