What could very well be the beginning of me getting back on my Queen bullshit after two years. But this time digitally! I drew this all in one layer because, clearly, I’ve gone slightly mad.
Just a PSA, for those unaware, that Aaron Tveit narrated the audiobook for “Dead to You” by Lisa McMann. So if you’d like to listen to him read in your ear for five hours, it’s there.
Reblogging to add, he’s also lent his voice to:
“Perfect” by Ellen Hopkins (Sean’s chapters)
“Mrs. Fletcher” by Tom Perrotta (Julian’s chapters)
“The Angel Esmeralda: Nine Stories” by Don DeLillo (stories ‘The Runner’ and ‘Midnight in Dostoevsky’)

Me: Which iconic Patrick moment should I draw?
Also me: Yes.

I saw the Queen + Adam Lambert show in Tokyo tonight, and as I’m still processing that miracle from above (thanks, Freddie), I can only sum it up like this: I have heard the Red Special with my own two ears, clapped along to “Radio Ga Ga” with my own two hands, and breathed the same air as Brian and Roger (and Adam) with my own two lungs. Unforgettable.
Shoutout to my headphone batteries for lasting through nearly 12 straight hours of Queen music.
Now to dream in guitar solos.
We had a special instructor come in to teach yoga to my students today, and this is all I could think about when they got to the mouse pose.
Me, with limited Star Wars knowledge, looking for praise from the fandom:
Hand study. You know the one.
It was suddenly very important to make a Freddie drawing today.
Inktober Day 31: “ripe”
Spooky how quickly avocados’ three-hour window for being ripe sneaks up on ya.
And that’s it! My first Inktober, completed! I’m actually so proud of myself to giving it a try, let alone going all the way through to the end. They’re so pretty all together 😭.
Inktober Day 30: “catch”
That’s it. I’ve peaked. Consider my Inktober finished. I can’t follow this.
Inktober Day 29: “injured”
I... I don’t know what happened. Maybe listening to the soundtrack stirred up some lingering resentment I have towards the movie.
Inktober Day 28: “ride”
Kinda ruined it with the text. Ah, well.
Inktober Day 27: “coat”
The actual scariest Disney villain.
Inktober Day 26: “dark”
So cats and cat-like creatures are apparently really hard for me to draw?
(Yes, I’m aware of yesterday’s drawing.)
