"W— I mean, if you wanted to… you could… you could — I need company. Yeah. Getting a bit lonely, in the TARDIS… you could always stay."
❝Y-You'd let me stay?❞ Toothless asked curiously, it wasn't like he wanted to go. He would like to stay if the other would really allow him to. ❝I-I'd like to if you'd like me to as well..❞

Open | The Sky
”Oooh… now that is interesting.” The sky above him was almost rippling, waves of bronze-capped blue tumbling away into the clouds — except the clouds didn’t look very cloudy at all, because the blue and white of the sky had somehow swapped places. The Doctor’s arm stretched out behind him to tug the door of his little blue box shut, white converse already making their way down the street. It wasn’t even the sky’s sudden inversion of colours that worried him, though there was that too, but — just how many people had noticed? Nobody seemed to be staring up at the sky, not really… which meant that either the population of this particular human city were extraordinarily thick, or it wasn’t anything worth remarking on. It was with a sense of confusion that the old Time Lord came to find himself in what could only have been the city park, lined with unnaturally green grass because actual photosynthetic processes were apparently forbidden here. Then again, the Doctor thought, as he continued to follow the wave-ripples back to whatever source they came from, there was no guarantee that any sunlight got through that cloud cover enough to allow for photosynthesis. Maybe fake grass and odd, dead-looking stumps was all they had. Or maybe, being humans… maybe they’d failed to notice, just yet. Maybe there was something stopping them from noticing.
This was the theory he considered most likely, so it was with an apologetic smile and one relaxed hand still stuffed in his trousers’ pocket that the Doctor reached out to stop someone on their merry way from one side of the park to the other (he was sure he could make a bad to get to the other side joke out of that one day), ”Sorry— can you spare a minute? I’ve got a question. Hello. Hi. I’m the Doctor, by the way, good to meet you. Anyway: one question, just one. Has the sky always been like tha’, ‘round here?”
Toothless had been walking back to his apartment. He had been out shooting some film footage for his latest assignment in university. Which now he had done so he had to get home to edit the footage and make it presentable for his assignment hand in. He decided to take a shortcut though the Park, for two reasons, one to get back home quicker and the fact he liked to walk through the park. He glanced up to the sky for one reason or another, seemed normal to him really. That was all before he got stopped by a man now. He was wearing a trench coat, suit and converses. He seemed to be dressed smartly other than the shoes, but still, those thoughts were shook from his mind when the man asked about the Sky after introducing himself. ❝The Doctor? Doctor Who? I'm Toothless..and the sky? Why do you ask isn't the sky like that everywhere?❞ He didn't get it the sky seemed normal to him, or was it not as it all seemed?

[anyone want want to do something with Toothless or human!toothless?]
Toothless lightly nudged the others arm with his nose. He was trying to comfort him when he had seen him crying. He never liked seeing him cry at all. Even if this wasn't the exact Hiccup he knew, he still felt like some sort of responsibility to try and make him smile
Hiccup gently scratched Toothless’ ear as he tried to stop crying, he hadn’t realized he was doing it until Toothless brought it to his attention. “I-It’s okay, bud…” He tried to assure him as he fought to block out the flashbacks to that day.
"Toothless!" Hiccup laughed as he lightly pushed the dragon away, still growling playfully, "Ah, now I’m all sticky." He groaned as he tried to wipe the saliva off, strings of it dripping from his fingers as he flicked it off and onto the ground.
Toothless kept up his throaty laugh before he lay his head onto Hiccups legs like he did sometimes, with a toothless grin up at him as he licked his own lips now, growling back playfully.

Hiccup laughed softly before he scratched gently at his ears with a mock-growl, “You hadn’t changed, you’re still the best dragon in the world.” He told him as he scratched his scales with a playful growl.
Toothless growled back playful and even leant up to lick his face, he knew it was hard for the other to clean, but it was one of the way he teased his friend, and the dragon was soon giving a deep chuckle at it. He always had fun with Hiccup.

Hiccup forced up a smile to the dragon, he honestly couldn’t believe that he could feel Toothless again. After…that incident, he could only touch his dragon but he never truly felt him. There had been no warmth to his scales, and to feel that again meant the world to him. “Thanks, bud.” He said as he gently ran a hand over the night fury’s scales, cherishing the touch as long as he could.
The Dragon curled his body around the Viking. Sort of just letting himself lean against his friend. As he leant his head under the other's arm and licked a little at his arm for a few times before he stopped and looked up to him.
Elsa & Toothless || A Dragon in Arendelle
Elsa’s blue eyes scanned the sky, wondering what on earth could be up there - soaring around. It didn’t look much like a bird, however the queen was watching from a fair distance away considering the animal was quite high in the air. It flew like a bat, but surely it could not be one.
Confusion spread over Elsa’s pale fact, cocking a brow as the animal began to slowly move back down towards the land. The woman had been out, creating a snow area for when the heat becomes too unbearable for some people and they wished to have a spot where they could cool down. She did not expect someone to be here so soon, nor did she expect that someone to be some sort of animal.
She watched as it landed, shock appeared on her face once it had become much larger than a bird, bat or any creature she had seen before. Elsa stopped placing snow and ice on the ground and ran towards wherever she figured it would have landed, and hell was it a surprise.
It’s big yellow eyes turned to her, her own confusion reflected back at her. “What…No…this can’t be.” She edged towards it more yet keeping a distance between them. She had heard of Dragons, yet she was never a believer of them - how foolish was she? A Queen that had the power to create an eternal Winter didn’t think dragons could exist?
"You’re…you’re a dragon." She should her head, still quite scared of the situation. "I’m talking to something that can’t talk back..I think I may be going insane."
Toothless blinked, looking curiously at the woman. He grunted as in trying to say yes he was what she had said. Of course he was a dragon. He sort of smiled slightly tilting his head to one side when she was approaching him, she was different that was for sure, he wasn't sure why but still. He approached her slowly himself, he was always this way with strangers, just that level of weariness that meant he was careful with approaching them. He did tilt his head towards her for her to pet or well place her hand upon it as a hello or greeting from him to her.
The thing is, no one had known that the leg that was lost got seriously infected. He had died from all of the poison that leaked in his body. The infection was undetectable. It was no where near Toothless's fault.
All of a sudden a ghostly hand reach out for the air. The hand grabbed a the ground and lifted the rest of the body along with it. "Toothless?" Hiccup asked softly. His voice sounded like it was coming from far away. His hand reached out to pet Tooth, but it just passed right through him. "What are you doing here? You should be out flying around."
Toothless had just started to lie down now, his eyes shut slowly so that he didn't see the ghostly figure appear. Though when he heard that distant voice, he thought it was just his memory, just a distant dream of his friend. But then he felt something cold on his scales. His eyes slowly opened to see the ghostly figure of no other than Hiccup. His eyes went a little more wide at that as the dragon slowly stood, he couldn't believe it at all. H-Hiccup..? But..

Toothless nuzzled up against Hiccup's hand. Just offering that small bit of comfort he could to the other. He always did do his best to make him smile, he liked to see him smiling. The dragon sheepishly smiled, though it might not have looked like it, he was trying to communicate to Hiccup he was here for him, and if anyone would understand that, he knew Hiccup would.
Hiccup & Toothless || Always with you
As it had been for the Dragon since that day, the day he lost the one who was closest and most important to him. He was protecting him, even if the other had gone now. Though fitted with the tail that allowed him to fly on his own, it was hardly ever that the Night Fury was seen flying above or around Berk anymore. He could have flown away a long time ago when it happened now, but he wasn't going to. He felt even now he had to protect his friend. Hiccup...I will always be with you... He just wished he could have done more so that he hadn't lost him in the first place.
