Through the Looking Glass Special Farewell 2 Luminar Edit by Gregory.Urbano Via Flickr: Here is my week 22 entry for the 52 Frames challenge. This weeks theme was "Through the Looking Glass." I have had the glass sphere for a few years now and never attempted a photo with it. Also I was able to pick up (sadly) the final print issue of Digital Photographer magazine at my local bookstore. I flipped the magazines for the extra credit of refraction.
Stuckey's Skeleton, Sedgwick Colorado 03 by Gregory.Urbano Via Flickr: Photograph of the former Stuckey's found at the Sedwick exit ion I-76 in northeastern Colorado. Now abandoned, a shell of its former self, a skelton. Remembering the roadtrips and stops for hot dogs and pecan log rolls.

This was really my first time attempting this in a studio. I had my Nikon Z7ii setup in manual mode, rear curtain synch, coupled with some Godox TL30 LED wands, and the AD100 strobe.

This was my first setup and Jonny was fantastic at helping setup the lighting. I really liked the way he educated during the workshop. Shot with my Nikon Z7ii.

Light Paint Egg by Gregory.Urbano Via Flickr: Here is my 52 Frames Week 11 Challenge Entry for the theme - Egg. It was inspired by a video I found online from the company Adaptalux. I did not use their gear for this image but would gladly acept some to test! This weeks challenge was to shoot an egg, I had many different ideas but settled in initially try this one. For behind the scenes info please check out the blog post on my "Enthusiast Photographer" blog.
Jonny Edward - Portrait by Gregory.Urbano Via Flickr: I recently had an opportunity to attend another workshop with Eric Brown. It was being held at Jonny Edward's Westminster studio - Atelier Alchimia. It was a creative photography workshop and I was excited to photograph inside the studio of one of Colorado's premier creative portrait photographer. I was so surprised and elated when I arrived and Jonny himself was there to assist Eric with the workshop! He was great , taking the time to assist in setting up lighting and offering so much help, he even sat for a quick portrait session.

Glass Sphere - Week 38 One Light Source by Gregory.Urbano Via Flickr: My entry for the Week 38 One Light challenge on 52 Frames. I drew inspiration from another 52 Frames photographer whose image was a 52 pick - Elizabeth Klepper back in 2023, week 17. I took my sledomly used glass spere/ball, a piece of shiny black acrylic, my new GOdox TL30 LED wand and went to woerk duplicating her image.
Fort Collins Abandoned - Old Wooden Farmhouse by Gregory.Urbano Via Flickr: Abandoned farmhouse in Fort Collins, CO captured for 52frames weekly challenge. HDR processed in Affinity Photo reveals weathered wood siding, boarded windows, and overgrown prairie grass reclaiming this rural relic. Golden hour lighting dramatizes the melancholic beauty of agricultural abandonment against Colorado's expansive sky. The deteriorating structure stands as a monument to changing rural life, with peeling paint and sagging rooflines telling stories of bygone farming families. Enhanced dynamic range showcases intricate details from deep shadows to bright highlights, transforming decay into art while preserving this slice of disappearing Americana.
Everyn Darling with Balloon by Gregory.Urbano Via Flickr: Model Everyn Darling from the Creative Experimental Photography Meetup hosted by Eric Brown at RAW Studios Denver, Colorado. At one point during the workshop the model was trying to create the illusion of the ballon floating in the air. This is my best shot from that series. Shot with my Nikon Z5, Nikon 24-120mm f/4 lens. Studio lighting. Post processed in Evoto and Luminar AI
