The best drugstore nude lipstick for darker complexions
One of the biggest struggles of having tan skin is finding a good nude lip gloss or stick. At the moment my budget only allows me to purchase drugstore makeup. I have found a few products that work on my skin. In the past I have purchased items that said nude and when I applied it on my lips it looked weird, sticky, and white. I asked my little sister to try the same nude lipgloss as I did, she has way lighter skin than me. She didn't have the same problem as me because it came out nude for her. So i realized us mixed girls or any girl with a darker skin shade have to find the right nudes. I did some research on good nudes for darker complexions. Unfortunately, none of the recommendations for nude lip sticks were drugstore items. So I decided to make a list of the best drugstore nude lip sticks for darker complexions.
Maybelline® Lip Studio Shine Jolt color 05 Stripped Down I'm not going in any sort of order. I have lots of nude lip sticks by maybelline that are nude, and sadly just didn't appear as nudes on my lips. So I almost didn't even give it a try. But I was stoked that it appears on my lips. Let me warn you that it's actually pretty thick, so a little goes a long way. I like the application because it's small and fits in my on the go makeup bag. When you remove the lid, you have a doe foot applicator which I really like because it makes applying it really easy with quality. I've read online and seen on YouTube that this item is a dupe of the Too Faced Melted lip line. Dupes are always cool.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream color San Paulo If I did go in any sort of numerical order, I seriously thought of making this number one. I was arguing in my head because I love this item, but another item on this list is also worthy of that number one spot. So I just decided not to even go in any order. Okay my favorite thing about this item is the pigmentation. It's hard to have such a dark complexion, and even with the most pigmented items out there to appear on me. So I was ecstatic that this item comes out so pigmented and pretty. This item actually does stay on for a good amount of time.
NYX Butter Gloss color Angel Food Cake NYX's butter gloss has the largest ranges of nudes to pinks. I really like how the different shades of actually appear on darker complexions. I love how this item has that glossy, but very pigmented look. I love the price of this item too.
COVERGIRL Katy Kat Matte Lipstick shade Kitty Purry This item doesn't stay on very long. I've only included the cover girl Katy pretty lipstick because it's an actual lip stick. I felt like a lot of the other items on this list were cremes or glosses. So for anyone with a darker complexion that has trouble finding a nude lipstick not gloss and not creme. There you go! It come out a very pretty nude. The unfortunate bit is that it doesn't stay on long enough for people to even know you put on any lip stick.
Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor Shade HD Seduction I love the revlon matter lip color in the shade seduction. it's the perfect shade of nude. I like how it kinda favors darker skins tones. Because this product on lighter skin tones comes out more of a slightly sheer, neutral, then the nude color expected. It's a bit over priced and not worth it. Maybe if you have a coupon or it's on sale.
Milani Color Statement Lipstick, Shade Teddy Bare This is my lipstick holy grail! I have always loved Milani, but this lipstick is such a pretty nude color that appears on any complexion. The color statement line by Milani made sure to make plenty of shades of nude to light pinks. So if this isn't so nude on your lips, it's okay because you have other options with Milani. It's not long lasting, but looks so pretty when it's on. It's super cheap, and the packaging is so fancy.
Milani Amore Matte Lip Creme, Shade Loved This is probably my favorite because it's a Kylie Jenner nude dupe. Plus it looks so pretty. The color is extremely different from other lip sticks or glosses. It's such a pretty nude. I wish it was more long lasting but it's not :( I purchased these products with my own money.
