"Those are the ones that don’t harm anyone though. Myths about werewolves and vampires aren’t going to fool anyone because they know it’s fictional. Although I do believe that there is some truth behind it" He grinned as he thought about all of the fiction books and movies. He actually enjoyed them quite a lot. "I guess that an escape isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes it’s actually needed and recommended." He nodded, already finding out more about Zatarro and his origins. "I guess that people were right then, there are some good accidents out there. Yet your abilities are still pretty rare." He nodded slightly at what the other said. "I’m sure that with just a little practice you’re going to be able to get every where."
The hat was definitely a good look on the magician, but it didn’t really seem to fit him, or so he thought. “Thank you.” The comparison was a humorous one, even for Kory’s idea of humor, and it caused him to snicker softly. “Even if you know the language completely some fail to make any sense. What about you? Do you pick up things right away or do you require a little bit of time?” He shrugged slightly. “I’m only warning you that some people never fail to bore me and once that happens you’re done.”
Kory had a thing for flowers, he appreciated the plant life. Sure he was more into exotic plants that were on his home planet, but roses were so beautiful. He gazed upon one of them as he picked it up. “You’re right. The petals are soft and delicate to the touch, but push the wrong buttons and thorns sting you with their rage.”
There was a small sigh of relief when he knew for sure that he didn’t have to put on a show for anyone. “I’m sure that I wouldn’t be any real competition compared to you, but thank you for not making me do it. They’re actually pretty good. both of them are enjoying their time in the island for a while. I left them alone in hopes that they won’t destroy my ship.” He nodded a little bit, Z’s statement was true. “Although mistakes are common they are also useful, they help you learn and improve. I’m sure that the mistakes you’ve made have only made you wiser. As long as you like the change then everything is good.” There was beauty in the night, but the daytime literally gave him power. “The night does hold true beauty, but the day holds strength. They’re different but work the same way, I see.”
“And how do you know werewolves and vampires aren’t running around when your back is turned?” he grinned, “Think about it, in the grand scheme of things is it really so much more unbelievable than a magician who uses real magic? You have to remember Kory, not everything you read in books is a lie.” He crossed his arms, “True, everyone needs an escape in some way, some exercise, some have sex, some read. I have a bath.” He said, that was his way to relax and pretend his problems were gone, if only for an hour. “They’re not exactly common but the odd accident can work out for the best. The only people I know who do what I do are my family, so I’d agree it’s pretty rare.” He chuckled, “I rather like that thought,” he trailed off smiling, “I really do.”
He nodded at the Prince, but he’d agree, the hat was his thing, ever since he’d been old enough to try on his father’s he’d decided it would be his look. He grinned, proud that he could make Kory laugh without resorting to more magic, “Tell me about it. You tried holding down a conversation with Wally and Dick… Seriously, one time I had to cast a spell to slow them down to understand what they were saying.” He chuckled, “Oh I take time, the same as pretty much anyone, every spell and every trick, they all took time to master and I have a natural aptitude for it.” He said, “Well, in that case I shall endeavour not to bore you Mr. Prince, something new for every conversation.” He promised.
“Roses are pretty interesting flowers, not my favourite though, sirI.” He muttered, and a fully bloomed iris appeared in his hand, he brought it close and smelt it, lovely. “One should make a habit of never pissing off a rose then.”
He could only smile at how relieved the hero looked, “You’d be surprised, odds are you’d only have to walk on stage and tickets would be selling out.” He laughed, “Besides, I doubt a person could make you do anything if you really didn’t want to.” He smiled, glad those two were happy if nothing else, “That’s comforting, I suppose I worry about the folks on the fringe a little.” Then he started to wonder about Kory’s ship, “I hope that ship of yours is explosion proof, especially if my memories hold true.” He agreed, “They’re useful, but c’mon, who could really enjoy their mistakes? Besides, people have to make a choice to learn from them, some do, some don’t. And that’s probably the difference between succeeding and failing in the second attempt.” He’d always be a night lover, just like his dad was, “Each is different, but yes, they do. Plus one keeps the other in balance and vice versa. And I think balance is best we can hope for.”
