Bits from my journal
When you’re a kid, you think that you’ll always be… protected, and cared for. Then, one day, you realize that’s not true. If you open your eyes, you will see what we’re going through. ‘Cause when you’re alone as a kid, the monsters see you as weaker. You don’t even know they’re getting closer. Until it’s too late.
losers club dynamics: mike and stan
you want to shoot off some firecrackers? stan asked, and mike’s grin was answer enough.
I can remember Stan doing his own hands last, pretending he was going to slash his wrists instead of just cut his palms a little. I guess it was just some goof, but I almost made a move on him … to stop him. Because for a second or two there he looked serious.
“Stan we all have to go. Bev-bev-beverly was right. If we split up like last time that clown will kill us one by one. But if we stick together, all of us, we’ll win. I promise.”
