I remember it all too well; You greeted me and gave me a hug, but then you left me standing in the street.

Just losing one of my closest family members, nobody was there for consolation. I texted and called you, but to no avail.

The amount of loneliness and sadness was unlike any other. A feeling so crippling I hope nobody ever feels. 

For some reason I’m reminded of this night all too often, but I wish I could forget.

Nobody is a friend;

I only mean something to you when everyone else puts you out.

You make time for the people you care about.

I’m so tired of disingenuous people in my life.

I feel lost, broken, stumped, torn apart, unworthy, like a failure.

Nights are bearable, but the days are deadly.

My thoughts and feelings are scattered about in a way that gives me anxiety.

I feel frozen, stuck in place, unable to move. There are no words.

And that’s what frustrates me the most. 

I can’t ask “why me?” because sometimes there are no reasons for the things that happen.

It’s just so hard to muster up the strength to get out and do.
