When then-just-Link-now-Four finds himself with three other heroes, all coming from different times, his first thought is that it shouldn't be too hard to make this strange team work.
But one of them seems decided to make it harder to get along.
This "Legend" guy is acting shady, obviously hiding something.
And, well, this "Four" guy is determined to find out what it is.

Four was always the sensible one, especially among the younger heroes. He was always able to see more sides of an issue than the rest of them, and he was always able to tell when they needed to pull back from an idea so crazy it would have taken someone else intervening to see it was crazy and reckless.
Four knew loss, as well. Legend didn't know who precisely it had been for Four, only that he was mature and sensible enough to have processed his grief better than Legend ever could. It infuriated him sometimes, Four's solidity in the face of grief, but who was he to judge?
When Legend found himself grieving again alongside Four, he hadn't expected the watery, manic grin and the offer to try some dark magic to bring their lost ones back. Especially since he had caught Four in what Legend had instinctively called his purple mood, usually the most sensible one of them all. But if Four thought it was okay, who was Legend to say no?

“Change me back,” Legend demands, stamping his foot down harshly.
Four raises an eyebrow and allows the smile pushing at his lips to break free. “Can’t, sorry,” is his reply. The veteran screams wordlessly in anger at the answer.
“Surely it’s not that bad,” the smithy reasons. He tips his cupped hands forward slightly, and Legend stumbles at the motion, falling onto the barricade of his fingers with a muttered curse. “Look, you’ll survive.”
“I was not worried about that, but now I am,” he grumbles, scrambling back to his feet and crossing his arms. “So thank you, Four.”
