Kevin and Whiskey

Kevin (19) is a clinically depressed, washed up drug addict who lives in one of the apartments in the apartment block in the more rundown abandoned part of the town. Where he previously thought he lived alone, he would spend all his days in his room; on the internet or intoxicated in someway and would usually only leave the comfort of his small apartment for groceries from a nearby gas station. After the age of 16, he made up his mind that there was nothing left for him and fell into an awfully suicidal mindset, actively trying to kill himself ever since.

Too bad for him, he hadn't been living those dragged out years in that small apartment by himself, but instead with the company of a demon-spirit who had been tasked with driving him insane, killing him, and feeding off of his life source. since he was sixteen, this spirit would live in his closet and under his bed and just observe the young man - odd behaviour for one of the spirit's species.

And so he watched as kevin indulged in his self destructive habits day by day and withered away and soon pity turned into care which turned into affection for the boy.

The spirit became hesitant about going through with his original objective and after the one fateful night in late december one day, while kevin was high in his apartment slumped on his couch in an array of gathered up trash around him, kevin picked up a glass bottle with the intention of smashing it on his head, killing him. In sheer panic the spirit decided to make himself known by taking control of kevin's head and punching himself in the face with his free arm, knocking him out cold this preventing him from doing any damage to himself.

After hours of being knocked out Kevin finally awoke in his apartment with the shittiest headache a guy could have, and that is when he met "whiskey" - the demonic spirit that had saved his life - to his annoyance and dismay.

And since that day the two could never be found apart.
