Spotlight: Michael Cassette

I always find it hard to begin writing these, never seem to find to come up with the perfect introduction, so i will settle for this. Lately I've been listening a lot to this artist, to my knowledge a finnish production, called Michael Cassette. This genre is quite unfamiliar to me, but I guess it's some sort of progressive/trance/electro with a nice 80's twist. There's something about their release "Temporarity" that just got me hooked; the general atmosphere, soundscapes and driving beat. The music works best when I'm at the computer late at night with my headphones on, I would prefer the speakers, but my neighbours probably wouldn't agree.

I guess there's not much more i can say about this, i will add a link to their song on youtube so you can have a listen.

Spotlight: Lene Marlin

My fascination with Lene Marlin started back in 2003 i think it was, when i was still touring with Deep Insight. Don't know what it was about her music that made me such a fan. I just love her voice and her songs seems so sincere and personal. I know most artist write songs like that too, but Lene's music just sounds more genuine and real than others in the same category. She's not one to release albums that often, only four albums out to date and i love every single one of them. There's no signs for a new album, but i don't mind, her previous ones are great and i love to go back to them time after time. Right now i'm sitting at the library on my laptop and spotify on, going through her discography; loving it.
