Ngl I see people characterization of Sonic characters sometimes, and it feels like we don't like the same character. Two people can say "I love Sonic" but have two opposing views of how he acts.

This is why modern Sonic discussion is insufferable.

Ngl but watching Aosth influenced a lot of characterization of Sonic. Like in my vision, he's someone who will do the right thing but is an utter asshole at the same time. Like he is a hero, but insanely flawed. But those flaws are never able to be noticed because he's so overpowered. He'll help you in your time of need but will let you know if he dislikes you. Like Sonic is supposed to be someone if ever are against he is the most annoying creature ever put on God's green earth.

Basically I'm a JP Sonic hater.

Silver is not related to any of the Sonic cast. Silver's just a guy. A guy with psychic powers, but just a guy in relation sense. The "character is actually their child trope" goes to Sage in this AU, and shes adopted.

How is Sage handling the fact that Eggman is dead?

It depends how far along the AU is! I wrote a lot under the cut so hope it answers it!

To summarize basically Sage is aware of the bad things Eggman did, and is coming to terms with the fact Eggman wasn't a good person to everyone BESIDES HER. (As she is living with two people that spent a majority of their lives at that point opposing him.) She also has regrets as she did bad things as part of her programming. Luckily Sonic and Shadow are able to help her with the grieving process (mainly Shadow.) Basically the first decade after turning 100 is Shadow being mentally better than his past while Sage and Sonic are having grief endured existential crisis's.

At the 200 year point, Sage basically has gotten over it. She now follows Shadow in the same way she did Eggman, as she basically assists him. It also helps she now has a robotic body, so she basically swaps between assisting Shadow via his phone or physically fighting with him. She basically spends way more time with Shadow than Sonic in public, but she privately spends more time with Sonic. She sees Sonic and Shadow as her adoptive parents, but genuinely does love in the a found family sense.

Shadow has to deal with taxes because he runs a business but Sonic keeps stealing funds behind his back. Shadow never notices until tax day hits.
