An anchor of the swedish galleon Vasa, before 1628
During Vasa’s salvage operations, thousands of items were salvaged from Vasa’s finding place. Around 40 anchors were salvaged around 1960-1961. At least three of the 40 anchors belonged to the warship Vasa. The rest of them had simply stuck to the ship during the time when Vasa was on the seabed.
