Last September, I was going through some boxes that have been in storage 20+ years and I came across my sketchbook from 1998!

I thought it might be fun to re-create some of the drawings therein, so I tried it on a few and enjoyed doing it so much I just... kept going!

It has become an ongoing project... a sweet escape from the calamity of reality.

Candy raving cat girls and sparkle dogs abound.

I did my best to retain the exact same poses and details with just a few tweaks here and there to smooth things out.

My oc, Trimdewyn... I drew the original in December of 04, while we were hanging out over at Roux's mom's house, with Jeffie, back when they lived in PR.

Roux made some incredibly good grilled sandwiches with portabella mushrooms, spinach, and provolone cheese.

Later, we watched White Christmas, a "quintessential holiday film."

I drew this after we moved to 735 Delta Avenue, where there was a pool!

It was the first time I'd ever lived anywhere with a pool.

One very hot day, Roux and I came home from a neighborhood wide garage sale, and I was wearing a pair of roller skates I had bought, along with a cute vintage dress... we went straight from the car to the swimming pool, and I jumped in fully clothed, roller skates and all!

It was a great idea.

Until I realized how heavy roller skates are under water.

Good times.

My X Men comic book fan character, Solace.

She's an interstellar being with a natural body temperature so cold that she has to wear special gear when she's on earth to prevent freezing everything around her.

I created her in 2001 while watching my friends play this new brand new game called "Halo."

Seven Cities is the name of a track I've loved since I was a teenager:

I can't remember why I used pink/black/red instead of green/blue/purple... o_O I remember having a plan... but then I ended up hating it... which is why I never uploaded it anywhere.

Felt very satisfying to finally "fix" it, although now that I look at it I kind of like the off-colors.
