“...I’m fine...I’m done talking about it all. I just want to go to my dorm.”
“Charls, what happened?”
@touch-ofglitter
“Yeah-I’m just still trying to understand what happened. I just went for a walk.”

“Really, Caspian? This is what you dragged me out of studying to be doing?” Charlie asked the taller of the couple. She rolled her eyes despite she wasn’t actually that annoyed. “Thirty? Why are you doing this?” Curiosity got the better of her.
“Because, Charlie the Claw, other houses clearly need to know which House is on top,” he grinned at the girl. “Besides you needed me to rescue from all that studying. That kind of intense studying will cause your mind to shut down. Then we couldn’t be friends anymore because as pretty as you are, I don’t feel like dragging around your dead body.”
Her eyebrows furrowed at his words before she rolled her eyes again. “Merlin, Cas-We’re 7th year! Why not let the younger years do this?” She asked him again, Not that she didn’t enjoy the Gryffindor’s company- They’ve been best of friends for years and especially over the last year they’ve grown closer- but this wasn’t what she had in mind. “I was doing just fine with my studies-thank you.” She retorted. “So, you think just dragging me along random corridors fun to me? Can’t we just go to the astronomy tower?”
“Normally I would be offended by the lack of trust and confidence but I’ll allow it.” After a quick glance around the hallway, Caspian quickly waved his wand and soon the entire corridor was filled with Gryffindor pride banners and such. He glanced back over at the other with a grin on his face. “One corridor down, thirty some odd corridors left to go.”
“Really, Caspian? This is what you dragged me out of studying to be doing?” Charlie asked the taller of the couple. She rolled her eyes despite she wasn’t actually that annoyed. “Thirty? Why are you doing this?” Curiosity got the better of her.
mystivalmuse:
“I don’t know how I keep getting points deducted from my House.” Mariah mused as she exhaled. She was looking over the viaducts, it was one part of the castle the caretaker forgot about. So it was mostly empty, save the few that knew the secret passage the led here.
The moon was waning, and the sky was clear. The pale moonlight shone of the pale castle walls give just enough light to see the faces of those that came her to smoke or snog.
“Oi, who did you get in trouble with this time?” Charlie asked the girl, a soft laugh falling from her as she looked at her friend with amusement.
It was an unusual warm day at the grounds as Charlie made her way through the courtyard, enjoying the feeling of the sun after a long day of stressful classes. Her eyes were scanning across the sky when she felt herself bump into somebody. “Bollocks- I’m so sorry! I’m terribly clumsy and it’s just so nice out. I swear I heard some birds chirping.”
After helping some first years to their classrooms, Remus found himself standing against the crowded corridor. He watched as students walked by, new and old faces looked at him and smiled. He smiled back, nearly blushing at random students greeting him. Remus had become rather popular in the school, if popular was the appropriate term to use, and it nearly made him feel uneasy. He often wished he could go unnoticed some days, though perhaps that wasn’t the best thing for him. His eyes wandered in hopes to find someone he actually knew well enough and sighed when he heard his name get called out. “Yes?” He turned in the general direction, smiling at the person standing before him.
Though Charlie wasn’t a house leader, she tried to help the young students when she could. When she was in their position she had wished she had someone to help them in such ways, so why not? As she was walking to the astronomy tower to get some alone time, she spotted her old friend. “Oi, Lupin!” She yelled and made her way toward him. When he turned to see her, she beamed up to him. “Thought I’d come properly say hello to you, it’s been a minute. Are you well?”
“I swear the things Dumbledore comes out with every year gets weirder and weirder.” Sirus chuckled as he nibbled away at the feast in front of him. He was in an exceptionally good mood for a change. His summer had been fun. Though it being the first where he didn’t need to see his parents at all was probably the biggest contribution to that. So he was in high spirits even if most of the time the opening feasts tended to drag on a bit. “Though the sorting took forever.” He said and glanced over at the person closest to him. “Almost made me fall asleep.”
Charlie looked up at the tall boy across from her, having snuck her way to the other houses’ table as she always does. “I think it was as normal as always, but you’re right. Our headmaster is a peculiar man.” She said with a laugh. “The sorting almost made me fall asleep my first year. I can’t believe we’re already year seven.”
“So um ──“ Belle muttered. “you either have a really funny sign on your back that i can’t see or that 2nd year has a crush on you.” She smiled softly as she nodded towards the second year that had been following them for like five minuetes. “Don’t look now, they’ll see you!”
Charlie raised an eyebrow slightly at the 5th year and subtly turned to look at the young student looking at the curly blonde. “Oh-Bollucks. Poor kid.” She giggled lightly. “It’s flattering, and I use to be like that at their age. But, how awkward, right?”

Usually, Regulus would be excited about the upcoming Quidditch match though the news he had received shortly before the break left him entering summer vacation a bit heartbroken. Still, here he was hoping his favorite sport could lift his mood, at least for a little while. He was on his way back to his tent with some refreshments when he collided with a figure going the opposite direction. The young boy stumbled backwards, some of his popcorn kernels falling from the bag he was holding onto the ground. “Sorry…I, I wasn’t paying attention..”
Charlie was in her own little world at the moment catching up with an old friend she was walking with, not even noticing Regulus Black walking her direction and colliding into him. “Oh-no! I wasn’t either, you have no reason to be so-Regulus?”
“This is a safe event. Trust me we have tons of Aurors here to protect you, ma’am. Nothing is going to happen so go enjoy the game,” she said gently, a hand guiding the elder woman out towards the stadium. This wasn’t the first person to voice their concerns to Piper but she had been told over and over again to make sure others feel safe. And the event was to a degree. They had complete oversight of the venue and camping grounds but that didn’t mean the danger wasn’t lurking inside. Which meant each Auror had to be on high alert.
Her eyes were trained to spot trouble, moving to area to area, so focused on her own mission to not see the person approaching. “Shit,” she said, practically jumping at the other who greeted her and made a face. “You could warn a girl.”
Charlie had strayed from her family for the time being to make her rounds to greet old friends. However, knowing the dangers of her environment, her want was at the ready at all times.
Stopping to greet a few people she say here and therem she spotted Piper helping an older witch in their surrounding and made her way up to her by the time she had completed her task. “Hi, Piper.” She said- Not realizing she had startled her, jumping as well. “Sorry, about that. Not my intention.”

To say that the stress levels have rose would be an understatement. James felt more and more pressure to be on point, to be able to keep an eye out, and to protect his fellow classmates. Everything felt like it was out of his control though, which he absolutely hated. He also didn’t want to become one of those head students who make life a living hell for everyone. But with current events, he didn’t have much of a choice at times. So when he saw a few of the first years that have been trying to prank him all year huddled up, he approached them, chin held high as he gave them a warning. The others ran off, clearly frightened. James looked to the one who stayed, the mastermind of the pranks, the one he saw himself in mostly. He gave a small wink, earning a smile from the boy before he ran off too. James sighed as he watched them go, feeling like he at least didn’t come off too much like a jerk.
Charlie watched the scene unfold, rather amused at the situation before shaking her head. “You could’ve let them have there fun, James.”

“I can’t what exactly?” The bloody woman wasn’t making any sense. Every moment he thought he managed to figure out what exactly the girl was on about, Charlie switched it up and confused him even more. “Look at the end of the day, it’s you and me. Unless you don’t want it to be.”
She knew he was right, she knew her mind was all over the place because of everything that’s happened. She knew she was confusing him-He already had a difficult time trying to figure out how a woman’s mind worked anyway- no way was she helping. So instead of answering his question, her took another deep breath and wiped her face, knowing she was crying no matter how hard she tried to fight it. “-You can’t leave. Never again. Never push away again- I know you won’t. I just have to say it. For my own sanity right now.” She couldn’t look at him, she needed to compose herself first, but she heard his next words and she finally caught his glance. “You and me.” Was all she managed to repeat as she felt herself become calmer in the situation.

He paused for a moment. “So you want a label because you’re afraid of us dying. That doesn’t make much sense, love.” A soft sigh left his lips. “I’m not going to leave you, Charlie. If I had any ounce of desire to do that I wouldn’t be standing here, arguing with you. This is me compromising.”
Charlie huffs and walks away from him to sit on one of the desk in the room and tries to keep herself in check, eyes closed for a moment. She was refusing to let her emotions get the better of her in this situation- though it already seemed to be, knowing so much of this was in her head. Her eyes were red from forcing everything back when she finally looks in his direction. “I know- I believe you... I-I’m just scared. And I don’t think I realized it until that night- And you said all of those things- I just-” At this point, her hands were in her face, she wasn’t going to let her emotions get the best of her. “You can’t do that to me again.” She manages to say, not looking at him.

There was a rage boiling inside Chelle that threatened to go off like a volcanic eruption. Sure she might hide it well with a soft smile here and chatting incessantly about a new book she read, but still it was there and unfortunately charlie seemed to be getting the majority of it. “My well being can take a back seat.” She snapped again, unable to reign it in now. Not even arthur had seen her at this point, feeling so utterly useless and stupid. He had cared so much for her, she could never let him know just how much she was hurting about what she had missed. “I don’t need a break, or to sleep, I just need to get this. So go over it with me again. Mending Charms, right?”
“- No way.” Charlie says and closes her book. “You will not achieve anything if you melt your brain so much I could pour it into a cauldron. This isn’t me trying to treat you like a child, This is me using common sense and you would do well to take my advice. Go for a walk, get some air- do something. I vow to you we will get you caught up, But you need a bloody break. And so do I.”
