allison was notified about scott's accident just as she was shoving her suitcases into her rental car. she had left for two weeks to visit her father. & she hasn't even had the chance to head home after rushing back to her hometown. her eyes heavy with exhaustion, she arrived quite late after everyone had already visited. balloons & get well cards scattered the dimlit room. she swallowed the lump in the back of her throat, chewing anxiously on her bottom lip. the noises conducted by the heart rate monitor became customary for allison, the constant beat resulted in her to doze off. that was until she heard a faint voice, an introduction equivalent to a breath. " hi, " she uttered, unsure on how to speak without her voice cracking. she was upset: upset that this happened. she forces the edges of her lips to curve into a smile, because this was about scott. she had to be here for him, despite being upset that he was hurt.
