Man a lot of Seireitei real estate is devoted to the Gotei. I mean, I guess this is the most obvious arrangement, with the military taking up the outer ring, the officer family and noble residences in the middle ring, and then Squad 1/Soukyoku Hill in the middle, presumably with businesses scattered between.
Sucks to be Squad 13, stuck between Squad 2 and Squad 12, yikes.
My two favorite squads, 6 and 13 are basically straight across from each other. I assume you gotta go around, though, there's no cutting through.
Assuming this map is N-S oriented, it seems weird, in light of the Soul Society Arc, that Squads 6 and 7 would span the Western Gate. What the heck were you doing over there, Gin??
For that matter, what is that horizontal line? Is it the bridge that connects the Senzaikyū to Soukyoku Hill? Why does it go all the way out to the left side of the screen? Or is this perhaps a zoom in, and there are more, outer rings to the Seireitei? That would make me feel a lot better, actually. I had initially assumed the corners were Rukongai, but maybe they are actually just more city.

Why is Squad 4 so heckin' small?? I would have thought the Coordinated Relief Station would be relatively large.
The north squads are kinda smushed together compared to the south ones??
👏where 👏is 👏the Kuchiki Estate👏??? Maybe it's part of the cluster of buildings to the northwest of Squad Six?
Would also like to know where the Academy is, for that matter. Feel like it should be roughly the same size as one of the squad grounds, but there aren't any extra buildings.
