Hey, PSA:

On your phone, go to Settings> Security and Privacy> Privacy> Other Privacy Settings> Ads> Delete Advertising ID

Then go back to Other Privacy Settings> Google location history> Turn off Location History &/or Turn-on Auto-Delete (you can set a time period of how long to keep it)

Then, staying on Other Privacy Settings, go to '+ See all activity controls'> Web & App activity> Turn off (you can also turn-on Auto-Delete for here too)

Then Scroll down to Personalized ads> My Ad Center> Turn Off Personalized Ads.

Google has no business knowing/storing everything you do online, and knowing/storing where you go everyday. Turn it off.

These instructions are for an Android phone, IOS might be different. If you have IOS or another operating system feel free to add on with your own map to where they've buried these settings in your phone to help others.

I have attached a video below these Tweet/X images of Congolese people in Cobalt mines. Video Description: Men, in front of a large, dark brown and muddy area of the mine are digging other men out of a hole that have been inside, excavating for Cobalt. These men are not wearing any protective equipment; other than something to cover their eyes, like goggles and lights attached to them. There is a crowd of people surrounding this area and many are cheering them on; a few men are pulled out due to the velocity/force of being pushed out of the mine area they are coming out from. It looks like the mine is opening up and down like the entrance of a beast's mouth. The exit of this part of the mine opens and closes several times during this video. I took a screenshot at the end of the video to showcase how many people have gathered, and there appears to be hundreds.

I want to add that it appears they are rushing to get out and being shouted and waved at to do so because the mouth to the mine may be about to collapse, as evinced by the speed and tension in the gestures and the intermittent fall of mineral debris from the slope above, which is frequently being cleared away from the mine entrance by the man calling to his compatriots from outside.

If that is the case, then this video showcases enslaved Congolese miners just barely escaping possible death, all so people in the West can have electric cars and iphones.

Yeah, here's the thing. @staff has routinely been rejecting any blaze posts about Palestine. Even news of Rupi Kaur turning down the White House's invitation. Even a link to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund.

I'm guessing this push comes from the Zionist CEO. But if they can turn down money for posts that try to help victims of ethnic cleansing and genocide, they either aren't doing that bad or they love genocide so much that they'd rather make staff cuts than get money.

If you’re just as displeased about the organization that runs AO3 kicking someone for being pro-Palestine (source 1) (source 2) as I am, here are some things you can do…

Use the OTW contact form and the AO3 feedback form to voice your displeasure. Additionally, inform them exactly how you will be withdrawing support until this issue is resolved.

Stop donating to AO3. This is an obvious one, but important. If you have previously donated, but will no longer be doing so, be sure to say it in your feedback form submission!

Switch fanfiction sites. Both for reading, AND for uploading. Alternatives include WattPad, Fanfiction.net, tumblr itself, or even hosting your fanfiction on a site of your own, via Neocities. Don’t want to stop using AO3’s tagging system? Check out SquidgeWorld, which uses AO3’s open-source code. It even has a rule against CSEM! While AO3 doesn’t get money from ad revenue, seeing the number of visitors drop will certainly get the message across.

Encourage others to do the same, and spread the word!
