Courtney fell silent, staring at her lap for a moment. Really, she understood the point of all this and what Daisyâs intentions were. She just wasnât sure if she wanted that. At this point she wondered if she just wanted to be left alone to waste herself away. But, thatâs normally not what people want to hear. In a way, itâs not what she wants to hear herself.
"Iâm not the type to talk about myselfâŚunless asked. Thereâs certainly not much I wish to say myself. There isnât much to say.â She insists, tilting her head away from Daisy and sighing quietly.
   Not an unexpected answer but not exactly ideal either. Daisy simply sighs, offering a faint shake of her head--- the most she can hope to accomplish today is working herself onto Courtneyâs good side, or at least making an effort to begin the process. Something told her it wasnât going to be as simple as a handshake and a charming smile this time around.
   Sometimes it was. Sometimes people were so lonely they were willing to grasp at any ounce of kindness shown to them but others? Not so much. Whatever the case, Daisy had a job and she intended on sticking to it until it was done; giving up wasnât in her nature, nor was leaving people to their own devices when they were obviously struggling.
   âPerhaps. But... maybe weâve picked the wrong way to go about this. Like I said, Iâm not here expecting you to spill your innermost thoughts to me without a momentâs hesitation--- thatâs impractical and people donât work that way.â
   Lips purse, soft gaze resting on Courtney all the while. âMy name is Daisy Oak... or rather, thatâs the name most everyone calls me. I was born Nanami but thatâs a bit harder for a child to pronounce, aha.... anyways. I study medicine, my primary fields being pediatric and veterinary, and Iâm hoping to graduate with a 4.0 GPA if I can. Now... how about you?âÂ
