Me again, I been thinkin about how in Russel’s debunked session on Twitter he referred to Murdoc as “our boy, Murdoc” and like, it’s so nice. He’s not an other or a villain anymore, he’s a member of the family. Is he a clown? Oh absolutely. Are they going to set him straight when he’s on some bullshit? Of course. Because he’s one of their own, and they gotta stick together. Maybe I’m reading into it too much, but Russel using familiar language when talking about Murdoc makes me go :)

AGREED! Not only was it just...revelatory to have a little more characterization/interaction from Russel, but he’s outright owning up to it: “yeah, Murdoc is an idiot who causes so much trouble...but he’s ours, yeah, and we’ll try and keep him from cocking up too bad this time.”

I don’t think you’re reading too far into it to acknowledge a sense of, if not camaraderie, at least alignment or kinship! Is it begrudging? Sure, most families have that kind of drama. Russel’s tone was more mocking and a lot less “things are really serious and we need to rein in his evil wiles!”

He seemed more exasperated, which I take as a hopeful sign. God bless Russel Hobbs 🙏
